Gay Atlanta dresses New Year in Glitter & Fur

When it comes to gay parties in Atlanta, the artsy queers of Bedlam and its satellite events do it differently than anyone else. That certainly goes for New Year’s Eve, when they hit Takorea for the annual Glitter & Fur party.

For the fourth consecutive year, sparkly and fuzzy looks – perhaps with a little leather and feathers thrown in – enhanced the party theme. Other treats for 2013’s regeneration into 2014 included mingling and performances by DJ King Atlas, Kryean Kelly and “RuPaul’s” Mariah Balenciaga.

The event also introduced the Sing For Your Life Season 2 contestants. The singing contest kicks off with themes, judges, audience participation and weekly eliminations on Jan. 9 at Jungle.
