Gay Atlanta chamber honors LGBT leaders

LGBT Atlanta celebrated its business leaders and allies with a posh awards dinner and silent auction in Buckhead on Friday.

The Atlanta Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce gathered its supporters and corporate allies at the InterContinental Buckhead for the annual Community Awards Dinner. There were cocktails and awards aplenty.

Award winners included Pamela Stewart of the Coca-Cola Company, Business Woman of the Year; Cale Hall of Creative Approach, Business Man of the Year; Lost N Found Youth, Guardian Angel Award; Paul Beauchamp of Gayborhood, Rising Star Award; Henry's Midtown Tavern, Small Business of the Year; First Data, Corporate Ally; and Carlton Brown of Occasional Occasions as Member of the Year. 

AGLCC also named Selisse Berry, the founder and CEO of Out & Equal Workplace Advocates, as its Vanguard Award winner and honored Paul Plate, the founding executive director of Positive Impact Heath Centers, with its Rosemary Jones Lifetime Achievement Award.

The event was emceed by Tony Kearney, who received the AGLCC's Guardian Angel Award at the 2015 dinner.
