Gay Atlanta author tweets his brush with cancer

OK, we can breathe again. Prominent black gay Atlanta blogger Darian Aaron took his Twitter fans on a roller coaster of a ride Monday with an emotional telling of his flirtation with thyroid cancer.

Spoiler alert: He’s fine.

But with the eloquence that landed him an essay in Ebony, a book profiling black same-sex couples and a blog with a big following, Aaron took us on a 30-minute, 12-tweet journey that ended, thankfully, with his diagnosis on Monday that the nodule on this throat is benign.

Honey, you scared us. Please don’t do that again.
