The daylong conference at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Atlanta is designed as a forum for LGBT parents, prospective parents, their children and educators to discuss LGBT family issues and advocacy.

In the keynote address, Georgia State professor Singh will be joined by Maru Gonzalez. They will speak on Bullying & the LGBT Family.

Four tracks of discussion are planned for the event: Prospective Parents, Parenting, Schools and Social Justice. Multiple workshops on more than 25 topics are scheduled within the four tracks.

Parenting topics include talking to kids about LGBT issues, co-parenting after a break up, coming out after marriage, moms raising sons, and “Being a Dad in a Mom’s World,” among many others.

MEGA also offers a kid-focused program for older children at the conference, and daycare is available all day at the event.

Registration must be completed before Friday at 5 p.m. Those interested in volunteering can receive free entry by writing MEGA founder {encode=”[email protected]” title=”Kathy Kelly.”}
