Add this share

YOUTHFUL HISTORY: It’s MLK weekend, after all, and YouthPride has an interesting event beginning at 6:30 p.m. at its Inman Park office. Winston Johnson, a gay Atlantan and longtime friend of Coretta Scott King, will take part in a panel discussion. Joining him is Dave Heyward of the gay history project Touching Up Our Roots.

DOGGIE STYLE: Pets Are Loving Support, is the beneficiary of the local celebrity-filled Doggies on the Catwalk, which begins at 8 p.m. at Grady High School. The event features local celebs strutting their stuff down the runway with their pooches and showcases the work of the high school’s Urban Couture fashion students. For more, check out an item from Peach Buzz in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. After, there’s a reception at nearby Piedmont Bark that begins at 9 p.m. Event: $25, reception: $10 donation.
