Friday: 22 gay things to do in Atlanta today

imageWith so many special events, it’s anything but same-ol’-same-ol’ tonight. Dancing, religious services and two new theater productions fall in alongside a fashion show and the kickoff of MLK Weekend.

The annual weekend-long same-sex square dancin’ fandango (photo). Promenade Down Peachtree 9 with Hotlanta Squares in Stone Mountain, 7 p.m. with all-day Saturday and Sunday events.

Don’t have all weekend? Same-sex Ballroom and Country dance lessons in a non-bar atmosphere, 8 p.m.

The national discussion from an employer’s perspective. Healthcare Reform in the Community with Out & Equal, the LGBT workplace advocates @ Emory, 5 p.m.

What if God was one of us? LGBT Episcopal congregation Integrity/Atlanta religious services @ All Saints, 7 p.m. Shabbat Service with Congregation Bet Haverim, 7:30 p.m.

This year, they’re recording the fashion show. Dress to impress. Doggies on the Catwalk benefits pet charities @ Georgia Public Broadcasting studio, 8 p.m.
