Menswear got a little more fun Thursday.
For the Kid in All of Us, the charitable group behind Backpack in the Park and Toy Party, brought together its patrons and sponsors last night for a mixer and mini-fashion show. Saks Fifth Avenue hosted the event in the men’s department of its Phipps Plaza store, offering a fashionable setting for the five models working the makeshift runway with new offerings from the upscale clothier.
Never one to rest on its success, For the Kid is already planning the seventh Toy Party & Silent Auction in December.
But first, the group is partnering with the Atlanta Pride Committee for the 4th Annual Backpack in the Park June 28. The event is one of several in late June centered around the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, which are credited with launching the modern-day gay civil rights movement.
