We’ve got nothing but love for DJ Vicki Powell. The lesbian shares her love of music in a way that pleases Atlanta crowds and puts a spin on events that keeps things fresh. In a word, she’s FLUX.

That’s her signature event and the queer dance party returned on Friday with a session inside the upscale Whiskey Park at the W Atlanta – Midtown. DJ William Roman opened the evening, while Powell entertained the crowds at a bingo benefit in Buckhead.

imageBut once she was done mixing it up with Fred Schneider, the gay frontman for the B-52’s, she scooted on over to the W to take control of the DJ booth to again please the cocktailing masses.

And Powell teases us with this plug for future FLUX events: The party goes poolside this spring.

We can’t wait.
