Before they knocked back enough margaritas to get a small Latin country drunk during their Margarita Bust II, the jocks of the National Flag Football League of Atlanta were on the field for their second round of playoff games.
The gay sports league opened its playoffs in late May and continued with Round 2 on June 4 at Grant Park. The games included two semi-final contests — Frogs Frogs vs. Boy Next Door Bruisers and Blake’s Broncos vs. Digs Divas.
Now, they’ve got one day of games left – its Championship Games on June 11. The match-ups pit the Blake’s Broncos vs. Frogs Frogs for the season title and the Franco’s Falcons vs. Zocalo Zocalitos in the consolation bracket championship.
After that, it’s back to the fun off-the-field action with the league’s Season Closing & Awards Party on June 18.
The league opened its season with a weekend of on-the-field clinics (view photos) in February and then a slate of exhibition games (view photos) before opening day on March 19. Games continued on April 2 (view photos) and into May (view photos). The league’s playoff push opened on May 21.
