The jocks of the National Flag Football League of Atlanta warmed up Saturday with a round of exhibition games as they gather steam for their March 19 season opener.

The eight teams of the gay football league are fresh from their two days of meet-and-greet orientations and drills, and will meet on the athletic fields of Candler Park most every Saturday for their weekly match-ups. Games on March 19 kick off at 10 a.m.

imageBut it’s not just the on-the-field play that makes the league. Their antics included a Super Bowl Beer Bust in February and a round of bowling after the pre-season games on Saturday.

On Thursday, the league celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with a Margarita Bust at Zocalo.
