The final curtain closed on “Fantasy Girls” Sept. 22 after more than a year as one of the most talked about weekly drag cabarets in Atlanta. The Wednesday mainstay at Jungle is gone, but its performers live on.
Hostess Nicole Paige Brooks (top photo) took the stage each Wednesday in the show that also featured Phoenix, Destiny Brooks, Savannah Leigh, Shavonna B. Brooks and Ashley Kruiz.
Nicole’s “Ru Paul’s Drag Race” Season 2 cohort Sonique was also part of the cabaret before she moved to California earlier this year, and guest performers were often a staple of the show as well. The sendoff event added special guests Monica Van Pelt and Summer Knight to the lineup.
Of course, all the cast will go on. Look for each of them in the myriad weekly drag shows and special performances Atlanta has to offer.
Speaking of moving on, on Thursday, Sept. 30, “Fantasy Girls” emcee Nicole Paige Brooks will be among the entertainers back at Jungle for the Drag Queen Tupperware Party benefiting For The Kid In All of Us. The gay do-gooders who bring us the annual Toy Party and Backpack in the Park will raise funds for their ongoing efforts to help Georgia kids at the event.
The 50s-inspired event also features Bubba D. Licious, Alexandria Martin, Tequila Mockingbird, special Mistress of Ceremonies Erica Lee, and other special surprise Tupperware ladies.
And it’s a real Tupperware party to boot. For the Kid’s own honest-to-goodness Tupperware lady Laura Shyman will have the new Tupperware eco-friendly products on hand while you graze on ‘50s era cocktail party appetizers and signature cocktails.
