Falcons player: No gay jocks near my kids

Atlanta Falcons cornerback Asante Samuel appeared on ESPN and was given a chance to elaborate on his diss of gay athletes. He couldn't help himself, uttering “sports and sexuality is not a combination," which is news to Tiger Woods, Brett Favre, Evander Holyfield's nine illegitimate kids, the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders, the readers of Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue and ESPN's body issue, the casts of "Kendra On Top," "Basketball Wives," "Basketball Wives LA," "Khloe & Lamar," "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," "Pete Rose: Hits & Mrs.," "La La's Full Court Life," and virtually all of humanity.

ESPN's Chris McKendry kept after him during the Thursday interview and it gets awkward. Samuel tries to joke his way out of it by suggesting he'll help the NFL figure out how to address an openly gay player if the league pays him. Not a good day for Asante, or the Falcons.

The Falcons have remained quiet about Samuel's comments. Except to retweet Samuel's messages about upcoming media appearances. It's their Roddy White strategy all over again.

And fans keep cheering Samuel on.
