Faeries make day of Midsummer Night [photos]

Atlanta Radical Faeries went big for this year’s Midsummer Night festivities, offering a full day of activities that touched on just about every facet of the gay group’s fun and social justice mission.

In full Pagan style, the group welcomed summer at its annual Once Upon A Midsummer Night with heart and drum circles, workshops and solstice ceremony. A big gay dance party with DJ Shane V. rounded out some 15 hours of events at Arts Exchange. Costuming and Faerie 101 sessions made sure that, by the end of the day, no one had any problem dressing like a Faerie.
