Evolution Project flings into Piedmont Park

The men of Evolution Project stepped away from their space as AID Atlanta’s drop-in center for gay men of color on Sunday to soak up the sun, fix some burgers, play games and enjoy fellowship.

There was plenty of all of the above at Piedmont Park’s pavilion for the group’s Spring Fling. Banners flew for the group’s ongoing sex-positive safety campaign, “Testing Makes Us Stronger.” The grill was fired up, a twerk competition revved up, and an Amazing Race hunt started up.

Then it rained. But no one was deterred. An afternoon shower cleared, and everyone settled down for Maurice Jamal’s film “Dirty Laundry.”
