Those Blake’s boys are a tough bunch. They smack a security guard, chase down armed robbers and tough it out during a mugging. And they won’t let a car crash stop them from getting their cocktail on at the gay Atlanta hotspot.
A 41-year-old man, ready for his fix of Charlie Brown drag on a recent Friday night, was making his way along Piedmont Avenue to the bar. But somewhere near 7th Street, the drive took a nasty turn. That’s when the Morrow man smacked into the parked car of a 45-year-old Decatur guy who happened to be standing near his car when it was struck.
It was late – about 11:45 p.m. Maybe our Morrow party guy didn’t see his parked nemesis? Apparently not. The accident didn’t deter him and this guy continued on his rainbow journey. The Decatur man jumped into his now damaged auto and followed until his assailant pulled into the lot behind Blake’s and attempted to park.
He tried to sneak inside the bar but a security guard, seeing the fresh damage on his car, stopped him to ask a few questions. The Decatur man caught up and someone called the police.
Before he was hauled off to the city jail, Mr. Demolition Derby copped to smacking into the parked car. He was charged with striking an unattended vehicle and failing to locate and notify the operator of the vehicle of the wreck. Yes, girl. State law says you’ve got to leave a note with your name and address in a conspicuous place. Otherwise, you'll miss your drag show.

Even a car crash won’t stop this Blake’s queen
