Entertainer Barry Brandon is like Atlanta gay nightlife’s own Energizer Bunny. This talented crooner never takes a break, continuing his latest endeavor Etcetera! last Thursday in Midtown.

And like every good entertainer should, Brandon (second photo center) includes other artists and genres in his never-ending roster of events. Etcetera!, a weekly celebration of music and art at Gilbert’s Cafe, opened in December at the cafe, and continued on Jan. 6. Plans are set for each Thursday through the end of the month, so plan to stop in soon to see the rotating list of guest DJs and artists.

imageDJ ApplePaul was featured on Thursday, an evening that also included artists Kevin Nelson and Samantha Hamrick. On tap for this week’s Thursday event is DJ Munir Amastha, Victor Torres and Ranae Kelley. Here’s hoping the ice thaws by then.

Brandon was the force behind the successful Robyn Afterparty in November, performed at the popular Superfraiche Pop Night in August and even dropped in to sing during an August birthday party at Jungle. On Friday, Brandon helps organize Bedlam: SevenSinnersSinning at My Sisters Room.
