East Point Possums do dragrific charity show

Dozens of drag queens converged on downtown East Point with a crowd of hundreds to make for the biggest outdoor drag fundraiser in LGBT Atlanta.

It’s an annual tradition. And the 19th Annual East Point Possums Show on June 11 didn’t disappoint, drawing a big crowd for an hours-long show that raised funds for Lost N Found Youth. The non-profit cares for LGBT homeless youth in Atlanta.

DJ Diablo Rojo, the talent behind the popular ManShaft parties, managed the tunes for the queens. A tally on how much was raised hasn’t been released yet, but organizers did offer this nugget of news – next year’s 20th anniversary event will be the last. Even drag queens retire.
