Los Angeles-based DJ Drew G. Montalvo brought his heads phones, his abs — there are lots of those — and his whole bag of mashups for Dirty Pop on Saturday at Jungle.

What exactly is Dirty Pop? We’ll let the DJ explain.

A blend of hip hop beats mixed with electro, dance and rock music melodies are blended together into one mainstream sound. The Dirty Pop sound has been influenced by such greats ranging from Van Halen to Shep Pettibone, Pink Flloyd, Chuckie and Deadmau5. Quite simply, Dirty Pop is a fresh, hard, and exciting approach to the music people love.

Drew G. (top photo) seemed to enjoy his quick tryst with Jungle and Atlanta.

Thanks Atlanta, we always seem to have a wonderful time together. Let’s do it again soon.
