Dream ‘Goes Green’ for its game tonight

imageThe Atlanta Dream, with its 8-10 record already doubling their entire win total from last season, offers some added incentives to lure you into tonight’s game against Phoenix.

In keeping with the recession and the public’s fascination with all things “green,” the Dream offers this: The first 3,000 fans moving through the turnstiles receive a “Go Green” water bottle courtesy of MARTA.

And if the Dream’s scores of lesbian fans park their Subarus and instead ride MARTA to Philips Arena, they’ll get a 10 percent discount on the tickets they buy once there. (Actually, you can cheat: All you really need to do is show a MARTA Breeze card. So take the Subaru and bring your card.)

Once there, you can capture the moment with a photo at the MARTA “Green Screen” in the concourse. Players are getting into the theme, too, with their “Go Green, 100 percent organic cotton shirts they’ll wear during warm ups.

By the way, a Dream game can be a pretty cheap date. Tickets start at $10, or $9 with that Breeze card discount. Tip-off tonight is 7:30 p.m.
