Drag queen says what we’re thinking about pope

Leave it to Atlanta drag queen and bingo expert Nicole Paige Brooks to say what we’re all thinking about Wednesday’s election of a new pope: It’s so gay.

As white smoke poured from the Vatican, signaling that a new pope was elected, Brooks was not fazed.

Now, who stole her tips?

As for what’s happening inside the Vatican before the new pope is introduced, “Angry Fags” playwright Topher Payne, known for his own gender-bending roles, sets the scene.

I’m still getting dressed. I’ll be out in a minute. Keep watchin’ the smoke monster while I look for some bobby pins for this bigass hat. Habemus Papam, y’all!

Will the new pope be better on LGBT issues than the last one? Probably not.
