Drag Bingo raises funds for YouthPride

Drag and bingo seem to go together like cookies and milk.

imageBorrowing a page from the playbook of the successful monthly bingo fundraiser for Pets Are Loving Support, YouthPride took to the dining room of Cowtippers on Thursday for their own event. Drag Bingo raised funds to support the organization’s programming for LGBT youth ages 13 to 24.

About 40 people enjoyed an evening of bingo, drag performances and the new menu of the Midtown restaurant, which recently renovated its kitchen and food lineup.

imageYouthPride recently adjusted the hours for its center, which is now open 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. (Monday to Thursday) and 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (Friday and Saturday). The organization has several events scheduled for September, including its weekly discussion groups.
