“Biggest Loser” trainer and sexy muscled Atlanta guy Dolvett Quince knows exactly how he wants to soothe your sore, tired muscles. Swoon.
The hot-bodied trainer with the smile that will melt you landed on our radar when he joined the cast of hard-ass trainers on the NBC show in 2011. He hasn't (yet) joined the ranks of the gay ones – never mind Bob Harper, Jillian Michaels and that gay bromance – but we're fine with bathing in the warmth of his smile and fantasizing about his rock hard abs.
And now, as “Biggest Loser” reaches its Season 16 finale on Thursday, Quince has a new way to stimulate you. Literally.
Meet his Brookstone massaging foam roller. Close your eyes and just imagine Quince whispering this in your ear: “Double stimulation.”
It focuses on what folks don’t tend to do after exercise: recovery. “It’s something people don’t pay attention to but Brookstone does,” he said. “I wanted to be the voice of the nation so to speak to educate them on the importance of recovery.”
He notes that when you exercise, you tear and rip muscles. They need time to heal and grow. The foam roller is supposed to help the muscles recover quicker and healthier. Without proper recovery, Quince said, “you get sore a lot easier. You stay sore a lot longer. It could interfere with sleep patterns. You can become mentally discouraged.”
The foam roller adds a massage element. “It’s double stimulation,’ he said. “It’s scientifically designed to give you the same stimulation as if someone was massaging you.”
Sadly our hunky trainer has left Atlanta to make the most of his national TV exposure in Los Angeles. But he does miss us, he tells the AJC.
What he misses the most about Atlanta: “It’s the genuine people, authentic friends without an agenda,” he said. “They don’t have expectations. What they ask is what they’re willing to give. Never one sided. I miss that.”
