Doing gay Tyler Perry is apparently a Halloween thing

Gay Atlanta does superheroes and super hunks for Halloween. “Duck Dynasty” and Miley Cyrus, too. But movie mogul Tyler Perry? Yes, honey, yes.

Riffing on the persistent rumors that Perry is queen of his Atlanta throne, this big girl worked some Tyler Perry as Madea during “Fairy Tales & Magic” on Saturday. The costume proved popular enough that make-believe Perry placed among the winners in the evening's costume contest, getting a big gay kiss from Charlie Frew, Jerusalem House's executive director (second photo). Real life Perry must be distraught to know he missed the chance at some daddy love.

But this Tyler Perry doesn't do drag just for Halloween. She's been spotted knocking back cocktails at the VIP reception Atlanta Pride throws every year at the Georgia Aquarium (bottom photo).

Tyler Perry as gay? Probably so, says a former friend. But either way, he's proving to have some lift as a gay Halloween character. What would make this costume a home run? A gaggle of shirtless twinks like this one. Or him.
