Do-gooding Atlanta Sisters dole out their loot

Add this share

Don’t ever doubt that, if it’s anniversary time for Atlanta's Flaming Sugarbakers chapter of philanthropic gay male nuns in the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, it’s time for their annual Give Back Party to share the fruits of their efforts.

The celebration took place on Saturday at Amsterdam Atlanta. Oversized novelty checks representing the very real donations collected through the Sisters’ various yearround activities went to Team Friendly, the Health Initiative, Just Us ATL and Lost N Found Youth. While the party commenced, each of the LGBT beneficiaries doing good in the gayborhood got $2,000.

The Sisters (top photo) also gave out special acknowledgments to businesses that support their efforts, including gay-owned retailer Brushstrokes and gay dentist Chip Hill.
