It’s apparently Divorce Day for the seven justices of the Georgia Supreme Court.
Consider what’s on their docket today:
• The case of a Fayette County couple in which the ex-husband, who is gay, is attempting to overturn a lower court order that he not be allowed to bring the couuple’s four children around his “homosexual partners and friends.”
Eric Mongerson is also contesting nine other alleged “errors” made by the initial trial court in his 2005 divorce from Sandy Mongerson, including the “grossly excessive” alimony he was ordered to pay his ex-wife in addition to child support, according to Southern Voice.
• The case of Sheree Whitfield (photo), one of the stars of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” She wants more money from her ex, former Atlanta Falcons player Bob Whitfield. Among the nuggets from court documents: Her attorneys painted her a high school graduate with limited skills to earn income, arguments for alimony she did not receive. This agreement meant she wouldn’t be able to stay at her $2.6 million home and doesn’t receive enough to live the lifestyle she conveys on the Bravo show.
