imageThe Atlanta Radical Faeries and the Flaming Sugarbaker Sisters blasted into outer space to host Saturday’s “Intergalactic Love Affair: A Cosmic Ball,” an early Valentine party to benefit YouthPride.

The far-out sci-fi and fantasy frolic encouraged partygoers to release their inner alien, and the attendees took the theme to heart, going all out with elaborate costumes from aliens to sexy space voyagers (photos, right).

DJ Diablo Rojo filled Jungle with cosmic beats, and guests were treated to live performances by the Flaming Sugarbakers (top photo), experimental music act Back Pockets and several more appearances, as well as fun activities.

imageWith all that revelry, the fundraising aspect wasn’t forgotten either. Every cent of the door fee went to YouthPride, Atlanta’s resource and community center for LGBT and questioning teens and young adults. As of Sunday, organizers reported “$4,216 and counting” as they tallied the final donation.
