Comment of the Day: Chick-fil-A so good, so bad

imageYum! That pickle and that chicken sandwich. Oh, right. We’re gay and (supposed to) hate Chick-fil-A, that right-wing, family values, Atlanta-based company that’s once again stepped on their own pickle in the minds of online gays.

Our post on Wednesday about the company slipping into the grease with gay groups over its affiliation with the anti-gay Pennsylvania Family Institute provoked the expected outrage from some gay folks. Others got an extra dose of the same guilt we feel every time we pull into a Chick-fil-A drive through and order a sandwich and shake. We do it in the suburbs so our gay friends won’t see.

Anyway, our reader Jsaido captured the sentiment perfectly with this comment:

Yes, we all think CFA is tasty but to paraphrase, “nothing tastes as good as equality feels!”

In other words, gay chicken lovers, find someplace else to get your fix. Like those gay-owned and gay-friendly businesses that are proud to have you, and you them. In the meantime, some gays are still pissed and arming themselves online.
