Congrats, North Carolina. You’re about to ban gay marriage. And gay singer with child Clay Aiken has a message for voters in his home state: Shame on you for supporting Amendment One, especially when you’re too stupid to even understand it. Of course, it’s Aiken. So he said it with his Southern drawl and oozing buttery charm. But he made the point in an interview Tuesday with CNN as voters in what was once the less-bigoted Carolina spend the day at the ballot box. Aiken offered a message for Obama, too: Evolve faster.
