Atlanta’s chicken chain that loves to hate the fruitcakes gave the finger to its gay haters last month. Now, Chick-fil-A’s supporters are doing the same by helping name it America’s favorite chicken chain. Hating on the gays is yummy!
Consumers surveyed by Market Force say Chick-fil-A tops its competition, the likes of which includes Boston Market, Zaxby’s, KFC and Church’s Chicken. And after quizzing some 7,600 consumers, Chick-fil-A topped the competition.
Like previous Market Force studies, the chicken chain study looked at a total number of votes for each chain and the number of locations in each chain. Chick-fil-A has the most locations of any chain considered in the study — 1,600 stores in 39 states — and claimed the most favorite votes per location.
Surprisingly, Chick-fil-A’s home base of conservative wingnuts didn’t pick them as tops. So yes, Chik-fil-A placed second in the South, losing to Raising Cane’s. Which is made more weird because there’s not a Raising Cane’s in Atlanta—you’ve got to drive to Athens for that.
