Bravo, the other gay network, comes calling in Atlanta on Sunday in search of chefs for the next round of its popular “Top Chef.”
The current crop of gays — Patrick (photo), Richard and Jamie — are gone as the current season moves to a conclusion this week and next. (Read an interview with Jamie.)
But top chef Tom Collicchio, who recently opened Craft in Atlanta, is bringing the scouting crews here on Sunday. They’ll be in his Peachtree Road restaurant from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
So bring a photograph, resume and completed application and your gay self on Sunday. Maybe you can be the anchor of a new Rainbow Team for Season 6.
“We see this [casting session] as a opportunity to find the best of the best chefs in the South. We’d really like to get that Southern flavor as part of the show.”
With all this interest in this latitude, is there any chance the next season will be filmed in Atlanta?
“There is a shot,” Michael Hundgen, a casting director, said. “I won’t say yes. I won’t say no.”
