Black Gay Pride brings Pure Heat to Piedmont

If it’s one thing you can count on to deliver huge crowds during Black Gay Pride in Atlanta, it’s the tried and true parties for thousands of visiting and resident Ls, Gs, Bs and Ts. If it’s another, it’s the newer Pure Heat festival.

The full day of picnicking and revelry in Piedmont Park went down on Sunday with hundreds of people in attendance. Not slowing from nearly endless Black Gay Pride events over the preceding days, throngs enjoyed J-stepping, singer Faith Evans and other musical performances, as well as a vendor marketplace.
