Black Gay Pride brings Pure Heat to Piedmont Park

Thousands of people flocked to Piedmont Park on Sunday to celebrate Black Gay Pride with an outdoor festival packed with food, entertainment and vendors.

The annual Pure Heat Community Festival delivered big – again – with a day-long effort in the park. The people turned out in rainbows, bare chested and even in heels to show their Pride on Sunday.

Just like they did last year, in 2014, 2013 and the year before that, too.

Pure Heat, Traxx Girls and Vision Community Foundation hosted a welcome reception on Thursday along with days of educational programming at the Center for Civil & Human Rights.
