Big Willie’s tasty sass booted from ‘MasterChef’

Big Willie's run of camp, class and tasty cuisine came to an end on Monday, meaning Fox's “MasterChef” lost its last openly gay competitor and its biggest personality.

Even when the Houston native struggles in a challenge, he delivers sassy quips, gayful glees and an infectious smile as he threatens domination with his “mean ass cinnamon apple cookie.” Jesus and an egg saved Willie during the Aug. 15 episode, but pot stickers and a team challenge finished him off on Monday in Week 14 as the Top 7 were steamed down to six.

You could feel it coming as the show focused on Willie Mike and his grandmother, Loretta, and how he delivers his “heart and soul” on every plate. When the stress got the better of him as Christian screamed during the elimination test, you could smell trouble. Gordon Ramsay calling your pot stickers disgusting sealed it.

“America, yes y'all are going to miss all of this. Yes, it's not going to be as bright in the kitchen but I was able to do some amazing things,” he says during the episode and in the video clips above. “This experience has really taken my passion for food to another level.”
