Others, though, spent hours primping, teasing and curling before they hit Big Wig II on Saturday.
The inaugural Big Wig last year proved so popular — and successful — that AGMC brought it back last Saturday, though they traded a posh community room of a condo tower for the wide-open space of Kai Lin Art in Midtown.
The crowd of about 300 people enjoyed tracks from a wig-less DJ Chris Griswold, an open bar and hors d’oeuvres while milling about and enjoying the diversity of tops. They ranged from a collection of neon wigs to ones showing the colors of Pride and a playful take on Farrah Fawcett.
We didn’t spot a return of last year’s wig with a built-in sling, but there were plenty of others that left us shaking our head and muttering an über gay “no she didn’t” under our breath while we had flashbacks to Harvey Fierstein in “Hairspray.”
