The Big Gay Supper Club took its monthly gathering for cocktails and dinner to Morningside on Tuesday, settling in for the fare of neighborhood eatery Rosebud Restaurant.
The multi-course meal opened with Tempura Eggplant Chips and Point Judith Calamari before shifting to Warm Mushroom & Country Ham Bruschetta. Appetites whet, the main course included offerings of Buttermilk Fried Springer Mountain Chicken, Wild Georgia Shrimp & Grits and Seared Ahi Tuna.
In case enough cocktails weren’t consumed before dinner, the meal concluded with Drunken Cherry Bread Pudding with ice cream and caramel sauce. Tasty!
Last month, the group turned to the Italian café Baraonda to dine on Penne with Butternut Squash and Polla alla Sorrentina.
