The Big Gay Supper Club continued to trade on its usual evening appeal by offering a brunch gathering during the holidays, this time a three-course meal in Inman Park.
The Saturday affair at Parish Foods & Goods was served family style throughout, opening with organic greens, housemade granola and Bloody Mary shooters. That’s a recipe to forget the stress of the holidays.
For the main course, guests dined on a turkey cobb sandwich, Brioche French Toast and Georgia trout and eggs — the latter a favorite of Chef Joe Schafer.
To cap the indulgent late-morning meal, the menu offered cranberry cheesecake and fried pumpkin pie. Now that says happy holidays, Southern style.
Big Gay Supper Club, the creation of gay foodie Rande Head (second photo), took on a similar brunch theme in November with a meal at South City Kitchen in Midtown. The group returned to the social scene after a months-long respite with supper at Agave in Cabbagetown in October.
