Friday, Sept. 6

Vita & Virginia (top photo). A dramatic retelling of one of Virginia Woolf’s literary lesbian loves opens @ Midtown Art Cinema, all week.

MAAP. Join the gay Metro Atlanta Association of Professionals for cocktails @ Ten, 6 p.m.

Queer Climbing. Equipment and day pass included with you in comfy climbing clothes @ Stone Summit Atlanta, 7 p.m.

The Other Show. Edie Cheezburger, Jaye Lish and the cast bring their brand of drag to their new home @ Midtown Moon, 9 p.m. 

Queer Bait. Party with the East Atlanta cool kids @ Mary’s, 9 p.m.

Damn Daddy. DJ Tommy K of Seattle helms the latest DILF dance @ Heretic, 10 p.m. 

Onyx Night. DJ Ron Pullman kicks off the weekend @ Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m.

TGIF. DJ Sean Michael brings the beats @ Ten Atlanta, 10 p.m.

Celestial Friday with Celeste Holmes puts the grrls on display for your entertainment and your dollars. Don’t forget Second Level beats upstairs @ Blake’s, 11 p.m.

Glitz & Glam Dinner Theater. Charlie Brown, the undisputed Bitch of the South and her gurlz entertain with dinner and a show amid the fancy theater experience of Atlanta’s premiere drag restaurant and bar. Make Reservations @ Lips Atlanta, 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and the Taboo Show at 11:30 p.m.

Fresh Fish Friday & Moonlight Cabaret. The new faces of Fresh Fish drag show wrap your week, then the drag eleganza of Moonlight Cabaret starts the weekend @ Midtown Moon, 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Fem Fridays. Get the weekend started with DJ beats, performances and scores of women in Midtown’s home for Atlanta lesbian nightlife @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m. 

 

Saturday, Sept. 7

Rise (middle photo). DJ Karlitos pumps the beats with no cover charge @ Heretic, 10 p.m.

NFFLA Flag Football. The gay football jocks of National Flag Football League of Atlanta start playing Fall Ball for keeps @ Silverbacks Park, 9 a.m. Head to Woofs immediately after the games for comaraderie and trash talking, 12:30 p.m.

Georgia LGBTQ Archives Project. Join the membership for an update on current projects @ Atlanta history Center, 10 a.m.

#Daydrunk. Drink specials put you to bed early or make you the life of the party as the sun drops @ Mary’s, 2:30 p.m. Do it, and you may not remember what you did during the regularly scheduled shenanigans, 9 p.m.

Glitz & Glam with Charlie Brown. The self-titled Bitch of the South and her girlsentertain with dinner and a show in the theater experience of Atlanta’s drag restaurant and bar. Make reservations @ Lips Atlanta, 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and the Taboo Show at 11:30 p.m. 

You Want M To Do What: Black Actors in White Spaces. Jonathan Lassiter speaks @ Black Acting Methods Studio, 1:30 p.m.

Dave Koz & Friends. The out saxophonist accompanies Gerald Albright, Rick Braun, Kenny Lattimore, Aubrey Logan and Adam [email protected] Mable House Barnes, Mableton, 8 p.m. 

Work is a Drag. Kings and queens battle for a crown to benefit Lost N Found Youth with Trudy Dolce as host @ Out Front Theatre, 8 p.m.

Ruby’s Redd Light District & Moonlight Cabaret. Queens on the scene @ Midtown Moon, 8 p.m. and 11p.m.

Sequel Soul Saturday. The newest gay/drag/everyone bar in town serves you in the old Opus space @ Sequel, 9 p.m.

DJ Eric James. Hotlanta Rubber & Gear Night leaves you breathless @ Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m. 

Midtown Saturday Night lays beats on both decks with you in the spotlight @ Ten, 10 p.m

Heyday 80s Dance Party. Nonsense ATL’s straight-inclusive party for every f-in body @ The Basement, 10 p.m.

Pop! Popup drag and Popup men werqs Saturday night into a frenzy @ Blake’s, 10 p.m.

Gurlfrandz. The queens serve you a “Break Up With Him” theme @ Mary’s, 10:30 p.m.

Deep South with Vicki Powell. The locally loved lesbian and her sisterhood of the traveling party reign over late night @ Banshee, 11 p.m.

Xion Afterhours. Kevin Durard moves you ‘til sunrise @ BJ Roosters, 3 a.m. – 7 a.m.

 

Sunday, Sept. 8

Armorettes (bottom photo). The camp drag crazies with the hearts of gold againstAIDS are in their 41st year of weekly shows @ Midtown Moon, 8 p.m.

Sunday Service. Vicki Powell and Brian Rojas deliver alt-queer realness to the masses @ Sister Louisa’s Church of the Living Room, 7 p.m.

Super-Sized Sunday. First, it’s High Energy and DJ Bill Berdeaux, 1 p.m., then the legendary Sunday drag show kicks off with an all-star cast @ Blake's, 8:30 p.m.

Sporty Sunday Funday. Games and matches on screen, plus all the guys to watch them with @ Woofs, 12 noon.

Drag Brunch Theatre. The Sisters of Sequins with Bubba D. Licious at the wheel while you eat @ Lips, 12:30 p.m. Walk-ins welcome. Or sleep in and do Dinner with the Divas,6:30 p.m.

Heifer Review. Ruby Redd corrals the queens on the patio, this week with the bonus of being HSL’s Extra Inning Beer Bust @ Joe’s on Juniper, 1 p.m.

Drag Me to Brunch. Good grub and cool queens serve Sunday vibes @ My Sister’s Room, 2 p.m.

Revival. Gospel Brunch has a whole new look, benefiting Rainbow House @ Midtown Moon, 3 p.m.

Sunday Funday. The weekly tradition of outdoor dudes, DJs, drinks and sometimes drag @ Ten, 4 p.m.

New Faces. Charmaine Sinclair corrals the queens and other talents for a contest @ Friends on Ponce, 9 p.m.

Queer AF. Drew Friday hosts this raucous drag and variety show @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.
