Sports, soirees, special guests and … Cinco! The LGBTQ-ATL is your oyster, and your only trouble is making a choice as Atlanta musters its best events for your hard-earned downtime.

Friday, May 4

Disobedience (top photo). High drama, high-caliber talent in front and behind the camera, and highest praise from critics in this lesbian-themed film @ Midtown Art Cinema, all week.

Cuatro de Mayo. Get a head start on whooping it up with drink specials @ Cactus House, 6:30 p.m.

Hot Mic Comedy. Queer ATL comic and Q contributor Ian Aber hosts this stand-up lineup @ Urban Tree Cidery, 7:30 p.m.

Sordid Lives. Del Shores’ classic gay play gets an African-American twist @ Out Front Theatre, through May 20. Read the Q director and actor interviews.

Friday Night Lights. Sports on all the screens of Atlanta’s gay sports bar @ Woofs, 8 p.m.

The Other Show. Edie Cheezburger and her kooky queens kick off a new era in Atlanta’s newest gay bar @ Midtown Tavern, 9:30 p.m.

Guys & Dolls with Eureka O’Hara! Pretty male bartenders and a pretty queens, this week including the current-season Drag Race favorite @ Ten, 10 p.m.

Baddest Bitch: Stevie Nicks vs. Christine McVie. Hang with the cool kids in East Atlanta @ Mary’s, 9 p.m.

DILF Dog Tags. Daddies you’d like to wear uniforms with @ Heretic, 10 p.m.

DJ Ron Pullman gets the weekend going @ Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m.

Uncut Friday. The return of LGBT Latin Night with gogo boys, drag queens and dancing, 18 to party, 21 to drink @ Club Rush, 10 p.m.

Hawt Sauce: Queer Dance Party. Southern Fried Queer Prie hosts this night of beats, perforances and special guests @ Ruby Deluxe, 10 p.m.

Glitz & Glam Dinner Theater. Charlie Brown, the undisputed Bitch of the South and her gurlz entertain with dinner and a show amid the fancy theater experience of Atlanta’s premiere drag restaurant and bar. Make Reservations @ Lips Atlanta, 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and the Taboo Show at 11:30 p.m.

Celestial Friday. Celeste Holmes hosts the show “where the stars come out” and puts the grrls on display for your entertainment and your dollars, plus Second Level beats upstairs @ Blake’s, 11 p.m.

Ladies Night. Get your LGBTQ weekend started with a DJ-driven dance party, live performances and scores of women in the new Midtown home of Atlanta lesbian nightlife @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.

 

Saturday, May 5

HRC Gala Dinner & Silent Auction (middle photo) Tux up and gown down @ Hyatt Regency Atlanta, 6 p.m.

Cinco de Mayo! The tequila-and-cerveza holigay goes down @ multiple venues. Catch the Q calendar of LGBTQ Cinco celebrations, all day.

Flag Football. The gridiron gays of National Flag Football League of Atlanta hit the fields @ Franklin Gateway Sports Complex, Marietta, 9 a.m.

Atlanta United Viewing Party. The LGBTQ pro soccer fans of the hometeam watch an away game @ Hudson Sports Pub, 8 p.m. The match is on at the gay Woofs Sports Bar as well.

#Daydrunk. Drink specials put you to bed early or make you the life of the party as the sun drops @ Mary’s, 2:30 p.m. Do it, and you may not remember what you did during the regularly scheduled shenanigans, 9 p.m.

Glitz & Glam with Charlie Brown. The self-titled Bitch of the South and her girls entertain with dinner and a show in the theater experience of Atlanta’s drag restaurant and bar. Make reservations @ Lips Atlanta, 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and the Taboo Show at 11:30 p.m. 

Fantasy Girls. The queens you love doing what you love in a new home @ Ten, 9 p.m.

Rise. DJ Susan Morabito set to bring the house down @ Heretic, 10 p.m. But first, it’s Armorettes Backroom Burlesque, 8 p.m.

Dark Side: Revenge of the Fifth. May the 4th was with you. Now DJ Neon the Glowgobear kicks Saturday into high gear with a black light party @ Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m.

Pop! Popup drag and Popup men werqs Saturday night into a frenzy @ Blake’s, 10 p.m.

Heyday. The diverse inclusive ‘80s Dance party for every f-in body @ The Basement, 10 p.m.

After Hours. Soulful house music by resident DJs presented by Culmination Productions keeps you partying as late as you want @ Tokyo Valentino, 2 a.m.

 

Sunday, May 6

Todrick Hall. The one and only delivers his Forbidden Tour @ Fox Theatre, 7 p.m. 

Hotlanta Softball League. The pitchers and catchers of the gay league gather to play @ Johnson Park, 9 a.m. Extra Innings Beer Bust follows @ Woofs, 4 p.m.

Sporty Sunday Funday. All the games and matches on the screens, and all the guys to watch it with @ Woofs, 12 noon.

Drag Brunch Theatre presents the Sisters of Sequins with Bubba D. Licious at the wheel while you eat @ Lips, 12:30 p.m. Walk-ins welcome. Or sleep in and do Dinner with the Divas, 6:30 p.m.

Heifer de Mayo. Ruby Redd and her queens party on the patio @ Cowtippers, 1 p.m.

Midtown Rouge. First it’s High Energy and DJ Bill Berdeaux, 1 p.m., then the legendary Sunday drag show kicks off with an all-star cast including Raquell Lorde @ Blake's, 8:30 p.m.

Madams, Marys & Mimosas serves drag, brunch and drink specials @ Ten Atlanta, 1 p.m. Sit. Stay. It's Sunday Tea's weekly tradition of dudes, DJs and drinks, 3 p.m., then High Tea with today’s hits, 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Armorettes. The camp drag crazies with the hearts of gold against AIDS are in their 40th year of weekly shows, now in a new home bar @ Oscar's, 8 p.m.

Tossed Salad. The magic and madness masterminded by Brigitte Bidet and her left-of-center queens goes all in @ My Sister’s Room, 9:30 p.m.

After Hours. Urban Hip Hop all night by resident DJs, plus 15 dancers and three levels to party presented by Culmination Productions keeps you partying as late as you want @ Tokyo Valentino, 11 p.m.
