Friday, Dec. 28

Queer for the New Year. The creative minds behind Queerly Beloved Revue at MSR celebrate the season with this special show @ Red Light Cafe, 8 p.m.

Thrive Kwanzaa. Live performances from the Clever Collective and the Thrive Glee Clubbenefit Thrive SS @ Rush Center, 6 p.m.

Hotlanta Squares Holidays Dance. LGBTQ square dancing @ City of Light, 7 p.m.

Flannel Friday. All the games and matchups on the screens, and all the sporty gays to watch it with @ Woofs, 12 noon.

The Favourite. Olivia Colman, Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz burn up the silver screen in this lesbian-lady-love, period-fab, sure-bet Oscar contender @ metro Atlanta theaters. It’s one of the best Un-Christmas things to do this week in Q magazine.

Country Night. LGBTQ Boot scootin’ and line dancin’ with no cover @ Heretic, 8 p.m.

Bitch Please. Party with the East Atlanta cool kids @ Mary’s, 9 p.m.

Cruise Control with DJ Mister Richard kicks the weekend into high gear @ Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m.

Celestial Friday with Celeste Holmes puts the grrls on display for your entertainment and your dollars. Don’t forget Second Level beats upstairs @ Blake’s, 11 p.m.

Glitz & Glam Dinner Theater. Charlie Brown, the undisputed Bitch of the South and her gurlz entertain with dinner and a show amid the fancy theater experience of Atlanta’s premiere drag restaurant and bar. Make Reservations @ Lips Atlanta, 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and the Taboo Show at 11:30 p.m.

Fresh Fish Friday & Moonlight Cabaret. Early drag to wrap your week, 8 p.m. and drag eleganza fabulosity with Shavonna B. Brooks and Raquel Lord to kick off the weekend, 11 p.m. There's also a movie on the patio bar @ Midtown Moon, 7 p.m.

Drrty Divas. Hit them up for boys, booze, beats and Atlanta's hottest queens hosted by Destiny Brooks @ Ten, 10 p.m

Ladies Night. Get your LGBTQ weekend started with a DJ-driven dance party, live performances and scores of women in the Midtown home of Atlanta lesbian nightlife @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.


Saturday, Dec. 29

2018’s Final Blowout. DJ Mike Pope (second photo) closes out the year with no cover and plenty of fun @ Heretic, 10 p.m. 

#Daydrunk. Drink specials put you to bed early or make you the life of the party as the sun drops @ Mary’s, 2:30 p.m. Do it, and you may not remember what you did during the regularly scheduled shenanigans, 9 p.m.

Glitz & Glam with Charlie Brown. The self-titled Bitch of the South and her girlsentertain with dinner and a show in the theater experience of Atlanta’s drag restaurant and bar. Make reservations @ Lips Atlanta, 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and the Taboo Show at 11:30 p.m. 

College Football Playoffs. First the Cotton Bowl, then the Orange Bowl @ Woofs, 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Fantasy Girls. The queens you love doing what you love cabaret style @ Ten, 9 p.m.

Countdown to New Year’s Eve. DJ Aaron Fries kicks Saturday night into gear @ Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m.

Pop! Popup drag and Popup men werqs Saturday night into a frenzy @ Blake’s, 10 p.m.

Queeriety: Queer in Review. The LGBTQ variety show rallies behind the theme @ Village Theatre, 11 p.m.

Expressions. DJs Ash Lauren and Stefan Ringer say so long to 2018 @ The Sound Table, 11 p.m.

After Hours. Soulful house music by resident DJs presented by Culmination Productions keeps you partying as late as you want @ Tokyo Valentino, 2 a.m.


Sunday, Dec. 30

New Year’s Eve-Eve Sunday Funday (third photo). The Bellissima party crew gathers its lesbians for a throw-down @ Henry’s, 5 p.m.

Gospel Brunch. Singing queens while you eat from a smorgasbord of serving stations @ Midtown Moon, 11 a.m.

NFL Sunday Funday. All the football games and other competitions on the screens, plus all the guys to watch them with @ Woofs, 12 noon.

Drag Brunch. The Sisters of Sequins with Bubba D. Licious at the wheel while you eat @ Lips, 12:30 p.m. Walk-ins welcome. Or sleep in and do Dinner with the Divas, 6:30 p.m.

Midtown Rouge. First it’s High Energy and DJ Bill Berdeaux, 1 p.m., then the legendary Sunday drag show kicks off with an all-star cast including Raquell Lorde @ Blake's, 8:30 p.m.

Madams, Marys & Mimosas serves drag, brunch and drink specials @ Ten Atlanta, 1 p.m. Sit. Stay. The Sunday Funday weekly tradition of outdoor dudes, DJs and drinks, 4 p.m.

Sunday Sabbath. Celeste Holmes stages the queens for your weekend wrap party @ Midtown Tavern, 6 p.m.

Armorettes. The camp drag crazies with the hearts of gold against AIDS are in their 40th year of weekly shows @ Midtown Moon, 8 p.m.

Queer AF. Drew Friday and Candida Valentina host this raucous drag and variety show @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.

After Hours. Urban Hip Hop all night by resident DJs, plus 15 dancers and three levels to party presented by Culmination Productions keeps you partying as late as you want @ Tokyo Valentino, 11 p.m.


Monday, Dec. 31

Genesis White Party (fourth photo). The annual white-attire throwdown with DJ Kidd Madonny, Mike Pope and Angelica D’Paige @ Heretic, 10 p.m.

Countdown to 2019. Do up NYE with DJ Mister Richard and all the athletic supporters of Atlanta’s gay sports bar @ Woofs, 6 p.m.

Michelle Malone. The lesbian blues rocker headlines the NYE Bash @ Eddie’s Attic, 7:30 p.m.

Heir New Year Affair. The women of LovHer throw this cocktail-attire affair with live band, food and a midnight breakfast @ Einstein’s, 8 p.m.

Open Bar Bash. The door fee covers you for open bar, champagne toast, multi-levels and midnight breakfast @ My Sister’s Room, 8 p.m.

Thank U. Next? DJ Baby Courageous plays all the Ariana Grandeand more all night @ Noni’s, 8 p.m.

New Year's Eve at the Moon. Niesha Dupree hosts, plus free champagne at midnight. Never a cover charge @ Midtown Moon, 9 p.m.

Enchantment Party. A champagne toast at midnight, DJ beats to move your feets, and all the go-go boys you can handle all night long @ BJ Roosters, 9 p.m.

Naughty New Year. Hot guys, hot music, hot cash drop. Porn stars Beaux Banks and Eddy Ceetee with “Shameless” host Kyra Mora @ Ten, 9 p.m.

Attack of the New Year’s Eve Party Monster. The alternaqueers and cool kids scream into their 21st year @ Mary’s, 9 p.m. 

All-Inclusive New Year Experience. A tradition that never goes out of style @ Blake’s, 9:30 p.m.

New Year, Who Dis? Southern Fried Queer Pride and Morph put on a trans queer POC fandango like no other party in town @ The Bakery, 10 p.m.

Swinging Richards New Year. Did someone say “open bar”? The only place in town with all-nude male entertainment is also a place where your cover charge covers all you can drink @ Swinging Richards, 10 p.m. 

NYE 2019. Find your friends bathed in blacklight as DJ Fernando (Argentina) beats you into the New Year plus midnight champagne @ Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m. 

Regina Simms New Year. The indefatigable head lady in charge corrals her queens for a night of performances and specials to ring in the new year @ Friends on Ponce. 

Bulldogs NYE. When men of color come out, they come to Bulldogs. Join them for DJ Caprice and all the special surprises @ Bulldogs. 

Glitz & Glam Ball. Dinner and show with some of the best drag in Atlanta. Cabaret style performances and a delicious meal with your reservation @ Lips, early and late seatings.

NYE Celebration. Enter in the rear of Ansley Mall for New Year’s Eve fun @ The Hideaway. 


Tuesday, Jan. 1

Queen Butch (bottom photo). Dancing queens keep ringing in 2019 all day. Don’t stop won’t stop with DJs William Francis and Cuntera @ Midtown Tavern, 11 a.m. 

DJ Deanne Afterparty. Keep going til sunrise @ Xion in BJ Roosters, 3 a.m. – 7 a.m.

New Year’s Morning Party. Energizer bunnies can’t stop dancing, and why would they with DJ Alex Cohen @ Heretic, 6:30 a.m. 

AV 200 Ride. Start the year off with the bicycle riders against AIDS. Starts @ Carter Center, 10:30 a.m. 

Customer Appreciation Dinner. Ham, black-eyed peas, greens and all the fixins, as well as drink specials @ Midtown Moon, 4 p.m.
