Don’t just stand there. Let’s get to it. Hit downtown. There’s nothing to it. Pride. Stonewall Weekend shines down all over gay Houston and makes the local LGBT events calendar super sparkly. 

Friday, June 26

Wonderland Houston with DJ Manny Lehman (top photo). The official Pride Houston pre-party goes down with the legendary circuit doctor at the helm @ South Beach, 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. Girl, Bianca Del Rio is performing!

Marriage Equality Decision Day. No matter what the Supreme Court decides about marriage for gay couples nationwide, when they do, rally on down @ Discovery Green, 5 p.m., followed by a post-rally event @ Hughes Hangar, 7:30 p.m. Because marriage equality is now the law in Texas!

Pride Pre-Party with Tyler Wolf gets your motor running with hot boys, drag and other surprises like half-price happy hour, and for Pride this special porn guest @ F Bar, 10 p.m. Get there early for Belevedere Happy Hour, 5 p.m.

Pride Shabbat. LGBT Jews and friends worship with a Pride theme, then do a Pride Seder @ Keshet Houston, 6 p.m.

Pride Diva Invasion. Drag-stravaganza hosted by Dessie Love-Blake, featuring Kourtney Paige Van Wales and more @ Guava Lamp, 10 p.m.

iPride iCunt Pool Fest. Pride brings this annual boy party. Wear swimwear and get messy @ 8222 Colgate St, 6 p.m.

Viernes Noche Latina offers up two-steppin’ and line-dancin’ in the legendary Esquire Ballroom @ Neon Boots, 9 p.m.

Totally Radical 80s Night. Bears, Cubs, Daddy, Chaser, Twink, Leather, Levis and Masculine Men. Do it up to the mix-tape music of the 1980s @ Ripcord, 9 p.m.

Bright Lights Friday Nights. DJ beats and shower boys get you all wet to kick off your weekend with DJ Eduardo Escabedo @ Meteor, 9 p.m.

Latin Ladies Night with DJ Kittie. Get with Houston’s lesbian crowd (and their guy friends) up in the Heights @ Pearl Bar, 10 p.m.

Fantasy Friday. Tanya Hyde leads the drag cast @ TC’s Showbar, 11 p.m.

Fetish Friday. If it turns your crank, they’re doing it @ Eagle Houston, 4 p.m. – 2 a.m.

Boys and Men. You know you love it @ JR’s and Mining Company’s Cockfight.

Dance Your Booty Off and get moving on the floor @ Blur, 10 p.m.

Beats, beers and boys puts the party in your pocket and the gay in your Friday @ Bayou City Bar & Grill, all day.


Saturday, June 27

Pride Houston Festival & Parade (middle photo). The festivities move downtown for the first year with a full day of entertainers including this year's Pride Superstar winner, headliners including Estelle, locally loved grand marshals and more for your all-day pleasure centered @ Houston City Hall, 12 noon – 11 p.m. Parade starts @ Milam & Walker streets, 8:30 p.m. And remember, Houston has Madonna’s blessing. And of course as you know, be on the lookout for Pride hunks like these. Psyche up with last year’s parade and festival pics.

Montrose Homecoming Walkabout celebrates the traditional location of Pride. Longtime gadabout Ray Hill started this idea of a walk through the gayborhood @ “Pacific Street, old Mary’s location, wherever you feel gay in Montrose,” 4 p.m.

Bearracuda. The traveling party for bears, otters and other wildlife gets its Houston Pride due with DJ Matt Consola from San Francisco @ Ripcord, 9 p.m.

Divas Pride Afterparty. Cee Cee Russel as Whitney and Ryan Zink as Reba are about to kill it for your entertainment during one of gay Houston’s most popular blowout dance parties @ F Bar, 11 p.m.

Official Pride Afterparty. DJ Wess from DC and Kasha Davis from “RPDR” headline this Pride dance party @ South Beach, 12 midnight – 5 a.m. It’s this kind of crazy.

Dirty Disco Pride. If it turns your crank, they’re doing it @ Eagle Houston, 12 noon.

Pride Saturday. One, two, you know what to do. Rides to Pride on the Shuttle, too @ Guava Lamp, all day.

Pearl Pride. That’s what’s up for all the gay women, their male friends and DJ Ben Phoenix @ Pearl Bar, all day.

Shake Up Saturday. Montrose was never the same after the party bar to end all party bars hit the scene. With karaoke and more, you never know what you’re gonna get @ Crocker Bar, 9 p.m.

Country Dance Pride. Before there was Gilley’s, there was the Esquire Ballroom. Now the legendary space is where your gay-ass boots meet the beat @ Neon Boots, 9 p.m.

Party time. Excellent. Slip into something that will warm your gay heart @ Bayou City Bar & Grill, all day.

DJ beats get you moving on the dance floor @ Blur, 10 p.m.

Drag divas never really end when it’s cheap drinks and Showgurlz @ TC’s Showbar, 11 p.m.

Scruffy Saturday. Cruise on over with DJ beats and hot male dancers @ Mining Company, 9 p.m.

Fruit loop. No weekend is complete without a stop in for a few laps around the loop and a drink or five while eyeing the go-go boys @ JR’s, all day.


Sunday, June 28

Heroes Tea Dance with DJ Shane Stiel (bottom photo). You can rest when you’re dead. The Official Pride Weekend train keeps going with this spinmaster making you shake your butt, plus more music on the patio to benefit Bering Omega @ F Bar, 5 p.m.

Montrose Softball League pits Houston’s gay pitchers and catchers on the diamonds @ Houston Sports Complex, 9 a.m. Follow it up with this week’s host bar with the Sons of Pitches team @ JR’s, 6 p.m. 

Kathy Griffin. The iconic comic and her gays gather for her latest round of comedy @ Bayou Music Center, 8 p.m.

Pride Foam Party. When this place turns on the suds on a Sunday, look out. When it’s Pride Weekend, well you’re in for it @ South Beach, 9 p.m.

Legends Pride does fierce, fabulous fun with Dina Jacobs, Billie Jean, Tasha Kohl, Lawanda Jackson, and Tisch DeWilliams @ Meteor, 9 p.m.

Sunday Fundaze. Whether it's sports on TV, DJ beats, or more lesbians than you can handle, get down on it @ Pearl, 5 p.m.

Kickback Sunday. Mosey on over for some afternoon delight. It’s the most C&W Sunday fun you can have with your boots on @ Neon Boots, 12 noon. 

Sunday Showtunes puts a rough-and-ready, leather-Levis spin on your usual gay musical fascination @ Ripcord, 3 p.m.

Sunday Lounge. Kick back and do the Sunday do: As little as possible and look good doing it @ Guava Lamp, 10 p.m. Lounge doors for day drinking at 4 p.m.

Sunday Fun Day. Whether you go for the karaoke, the rowdy patrons or what some call the best Sunday in town, get down @ Crocker Bar, 12:30 p.m.

Sunday Funday Crawfish parties until you absolutely have to go home and start your workweek. Crawfish and drink specials @ Bayou City Bar & Grill, 12 noon – 9 p.m.

Dangerous Disco. Thumping beats and the Texans on TV. Don’t stop ‘til you get enough @ Eagle Houston, 12 noon – 2 a.m.

Sunday Fun Day Drag Show with Kofi and the girls and all of Houston’s ready-to-party gay boys @ JR’s. All day bar, evening drag.

All Star Sunday. Alexis Nicole Whitney corrals the queens and closes out your weekend with a showstopper that you have to see to believe @ TC’s Showbar, 11 p.m.

Hot Mess Sunday with Deejay Pollo and Ricky Lee and Houston’s hottest Spanish-English video remix set @ Blur, 10:30 p.m.

Men At Work with trash disco by DJ Danny G and drink specials @ Mining Company, all day.
