Friday, Oct. 10

Katy Perry After-Concert Party starring Sara Andrews (top photo). This impersonator will extend your love right after the real deal does it up. Get with your gays to respark the fireworks, and wear purple because it’s GLAAD No Bullying Day @ South Beach, 9 p.m. Be prepared. They’re doing a déjà vu after Saturday’s concert, plus a second kick-ass guest.

Junior Gordon Live. It’s always time for two-steppin’ and line-dancin’ in the legendary Esquire Ballroom, this time with a live performance by this country crooner @ Neon Boots. Dance lessons 7:30 p.m., Boot scootin’, 9 p.m. 

Selfies Millennial Friday puts drag and dancing on your radar with scores of friends each and every week @ South Beach, 9 p.m. 

Lounge it! You know what’s up. Happy hour to the wee hours @ Guava Lamp, 9 p.m.

Beats, beers and boys puts the party in your pocket and the gay in your Friday @ Bayou City Bar & Grill, all day.

Boys and Men. You know you love it @ JR’s and Mining Company’s Cockfight.

Saturday, Oct. 11

#OutForWendy Walk backs Wendy Davis for Governor. This block-walking event for all supporters (middle photo) hits Htown along with Dallas, San Antonio and Austin to get out the vote. The mayor is dropping by at 2 p.m. to celebrate @ Matthiesen & Associates, 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Coming Out Party. Yes, girl. Even if you’ve been out forever, it’s National Coming Out Day, and LGBT Houston is all about it. Open bar, silent auction, a performance by Tasha Kiol and more with OutReach United @ Juguar Land Rover Houston Centra, 6 p.m.

“Breaking Through” screens for National Coming Out Day. This documentary profiles the struggles and triumphs of out LGBT elected officials from across the country, including Houston Mayor Annise Parker, Associate Judge Phyllis Frye and Dallas County Sheriff Lupe Valdez, who will all be in attendance @ Ressurection MCC, 6 p.m.

Bayou City Art Festival Downtown puts the wares on display for your buying and viewing pleasure with plenty of food and beer while you stroll @ 901 Bagby, all day.

Katy Perry After-Concert Party with Sara Andrews and Phi Phi O’Hara. The impersonator extends your love past the concert, this time with “RuPaul’s” PhiPhi in the house too. Get with your gays @ South Beach, 9 p.m.

“The ‘Left’ Bank on the Bayou: Avant-gare Art & Theatre in 1930s Houston.” The name is long, but the exhibit is deep. Catch an early local spark that set a markedly cosmopolitan fire long before Houston was much more than a cowtown. Curated by Okane Gallery @ UH Downtown, through Oct. 16.

Sound Factory Saturday. One, two, you know what to do @ Guava Lamp, 9 p.m.

Country Dance. Before there was Gilley’s, there was the Esquire Ballroom. Now the legendary space is where your gay-ass boots meet the beat @ Neon Ballroom, 9 p.m.

Party time. Excellent. Slip into something that will warm your gay heart @ Bayou City Bar & Grill, all day.

Shower Boys leave a wet spot on your Saturday @ Meteor, 9 p.m.

DJ beats get you moving on the dance floor @ Blur, 10 p.m.

Drag divas never really end when it’s cheap drinks and Showgurlz @ TC’s Showbar, 11 p.m.

Scruffy Saturday. Cruise on over with DJ beats and hot male dancers @ Mining Company, 9 p.m.

Fruit loop. No weekend is complete without a stop in for a few laps around the loop and a drink or five while eyeing the go-go boys @ JR’s, all day.


Sunday, Oct. 12

Legends Fabulous Four give it to you until you’ve had enough and then give it to you again. When they say legends, they mean it. Salute to Naomi Sims, Tasha Kohl (bottom photo), Donna Day, and Hot Chocolate @ Meteor, 8:30 p.m.

F Latin Divas Debut. Girl, it’s a one of a kind extravaganza, and you have a front-row seat. See the beginning of a beautiful thing with Aria Crawford, Jourdin Crawford, Laisha Larue, Lucero Montiel and Tatiana Mala-Nina @ F Bar, 10 p.m. Beforehand, get you some Retox Sunday and shut down the weekend. These queens know what you need, and you’re going to get it @ F Bar, 6 p.m. This shit gets crazy.

Sunday Fun Day Drag Show with Kofi (bottom photo) and the girls and all of Houston’s ready-to-party gay boys @ JR’s. All day bar, evening drag.

Sunday Fun Day Karaoke (bottom photo) with a host that’s as entertaining as the singers @ Guava Lamp, 10 p.m. Lounge doors for day drinking at 4 p.m.

Sunday Funday parties hard until you absolutely have to go home and start your workweek @ Bayou City Bar & Grill, 12 noon.
