You’d think that as summer wears on, LGBT events would wane. Nope. Gay Houston keeps up the pace and shifts into overdrive with parties, performances, games and gatherings. Get into it.

Friday, July 11

National Gay Blood Drive Houston (top photo) gets blood, gives gay-straight pairs t-shirts and commemorates their story with a photo. The straight ally gives blood in the gay man’s place to point up the archaic ban on gay men giving blood @ the Bill T. Teague Neighborhood Donor Center., 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Get the full scoop.

“Fallen Angels” puts all of Noel Coward’s closeted angst, dry wit, drama-queen alcoholism and giggly man-hungriness on stage in the form of two women whose ex lover returns when their husbands are out. When the cat’s away, the mice will play @ Main Street Theater, 8 p.m. Runs through Aug. 3

Gay Houston’s Favorite Dance Party puts dance in your pants @ South Beach, 10 p.m.

Beats, beers and boys put the party in your pocket and the gay in your Friday @ Bayou City Bar & Grill, all day.

Lady Gaga Runway Show finds Kara and Tara Dion hosting this opportunity to show out your best Gaga-inspired look and win Gaga concert tickets @ Guava Lamp, 9 p.m.

FxPerience with Joe Ross and the F Men get you hot and bothered @ F Bar, 10 p.m.

A sold-out concert with her hubby and former girl-groupers at Minute Maid Park is followed by DJ Riley York, “RuPaul’s Drag Race’s” Trinity and a cast of Queen B acolytes @ South Beach, 9 p.m. Text SOBE to 46786 for free admission before 10 p.m., $12 after that. Lounge it, bitches! You know what’s up @ Guava Lamp, 9 p.m.

Dance it out. Saturday night beats for your nerves and a midnight performance showcase @ F Bar, 9 p.m.

DJ beats get you moving on the dance floor @ Blur, 10 p.m.

Drag never really ends when it’s cheap drinks and Showgurlz @ TC’s Showbar, 11 p.m.

Scruffy Saturday. Cruise on over with DJ beats and hot male dancers @ Mining Company, 9 p.m.
