When it’s time to let it all go for the week and get down to the real business of weekend release, the Gay Agenda of LGBT Houston events brings the parties and shows to cure what ails you.

Friday, Oct. 24

Shower Boys (top photo) never let you down and always get your weekend started right @ Meteor, 10 p.m.

Out For Work Job Fair. LGBT-friendly employers come out in force for job seekers. Dress for success and bring your resume @ Montrose Center, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Kissin’ Country Cousins. It’s always time for two-steppin’ and line-dancin’ in the legendary Esquire Ballroom @ Neon Boots. Dance lessons 7:30 p.m., Boot scootin’, 9 p.m. 

Selfie Friday puts drag and dancing on your radar with scores of friends each and every week @ South Beach, 9 p.m.

Lounge it! You know what’s up. Happy hour to the wee hours @ Guava Lamp, 9 p.m. This week, “On the Couch” premieres with your hostess/moistest Roxanne Collins at this special viewing party, 10 p.m.

Beats, beers and boys puts the party in your pocket and the gay in your Friday @ Bayou City Bar & Grill, all day.

Boys and Men. You know you love it @ JR’s and Mining Company’s Cockfight.

Dance Your Ass Off and get moving on the floor @ Blur, 10 p.m.

 

Saturday, Oct. 25

HalloQueen Freakshow with Raja and Candis Cayne. The “Drag Race” winner and the trans TV star hit town just in time to scare up your weeklong Halloween fun (middle photo). Two divas, multiple costume contests and a Block Party and High Heel Drag Race on Pacific to boot @ South Beach, JR’s and Mining Company, 9 p.m. Yes, girl. Meteor Costume Contest too.

Fall Ball. The gay pitchers and catchers of Montrose Softball League hit the diamond for autumn games @ Houston Sportsplex, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Houston Pride Band “Bares All.” The first concert of the season from the LGBT instrumentalists lifts its sounds to the heavens @ Resurrection MCC, 3 p.m.

The Dianas Country Dinner Weekend. The oldest LGBT non-profit in town does it up to scoot your boots @ Neon Boots, 6 p.m. Get tickets. Stick around. It’s time for Saturday Country Dance. Before there was Gilley’s, there was the Esquire Ballroom. Now the legendary space is where your gay-ass boots meet the beat @ Neon Ballroom, 9 p.m. Sunday brunch too.

Drop Dead Gorgeous Halloween Costume contest invites your best look and offers prizes if you meet the challenge. Pluse drinks and other fun of course @ F Bar, 9 p.m.

Sound Factory Saturday. One, two, you know what to do @ Guava Lamp, 9 p.m.

Party time. Excellent. Slip into something that will warm your gay heart @ Bayou City Bar & Grill, all day.

DJ beats get you moving on the dance floor @ Blur, 10 p.m.

Drag divas never really end when it’s cheap drinks and Showgurlz @ TC’s Showbar, 11 p.m.

 

Sunday, Oct. 26

Sunday Funday (bottom photo) parties hard until you absolutely have to go home and start your workweek @ Bayou City Bar & Grill, 12 noon.

Diana Country Dance Weekend Brunch. The oldest LGBT non-profit in town does it up for fundraising. Saturday's dinner and dance is followed by today's prix fixe brunch @ Reef Restaurant, 12 noon. Get tickets

Bust Sundays. It’s you and your brew crew for the cheapest vodka and draft you’ll find. Don’t let the weekend getaway without one more round @ Ripcord, 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Sunday Fun Day Drag Show with Kofi (bottom photo) and the girls and all of Houston’s ready-to-party gay boys @ JR’s. All day bar, evening drag.

Beer Bust Sundays fill you with all you can take @ Ripcord, all day.

Sunday Fun Day Karaoke (bottom photo) with a host that’s as entertaining as the singers @ Guava Lamp, 10 p.m. Lounge doors for day drinking at 4 p.m.

Sunday Funday parties hard until you absolutely have to go home and start your workweek @ Bayou City Bar & Grill, 12 noon.

Country Sunday. Mosey on over for some afternoon delight. It’s the most C&W Sunday fun you can have with your boots on @ Neon Boots, 12 noon.

Men At Work with trash disco by DJ Danny G and drink specials @ Mining Company, all day.

Retox Sunday with F Divas shuts down the weekend. These queens know what you need, and you’re going to get it @ F Bar, 6 p.m.
