Your same-ol’ week just became one of Houston's awesome gay weekends. Let it all go and recharge with LGBT shows, sports, soirees, celebrity sightings and more all here for the taking. 

Friday, March 20

Karaoke Fridays. You know what’s up. Happy hour to the wee hours and you belting like a diva @ Guava Lamp (top photo), 9 p.m. 

Shower Boys get you all wet to get your weekend kicked off right @ Meteor, 9 p.m.

Flex Friday gets your motor running with hot boys, drag and other surprises like half-price happy hour @ F Bar, 8 p.m.

Modern Men 80s Night. Bears, Cubs, Daddy, Chaser, Twink, Leather, Levis and Masculine Men. Do it up to the mix-tape music of the ‘80s @ Ripcord, 9 p.m.

Viernes Noche Latina. It’s always time for two-steppin’ and line-dancin’ in the legendary Esquire Ballroom, and it’s always Latin Night on Fridays @ Neon Boots, 9 p.m.

Selfie Millennial Friday puts its weekly spin on drag and dancing with scores of your friends and London A'dour as host @ South Beach, 9 p.m.

Cirque Du Soleil “Amaluna” Closing Weekend. Watch gods and goddesses twist up some human visions in the latest from these masters of performance @ 8 p.m. Runs through Sunday.

Ladies & Gents. Whether it’s DJ beats, live music, happy hour until 8 p.m., sports on TV or free food in the house, lesbians are know what's up @ Pearl Lounge, 4 p.m. – 2 a.m. 

Fetish Friday. If it turns your crank, they’re doing it @ Eagle Houston, 4 p.m. – 2 a.m.

Boys and Men. You know you love it @ JR’s and Mining Company’s Cockfight.

Dance Your Booty Off and get moving on the floor @ Blur, 10 p.m.

Beats, beers and boys puts the party in your pocket and the gay in your Friday @ Bayou City Bar & Grill, all day.

 

Saturday, March 21

DJ Alyson Calagna and Nina Flowers Spring Break. The “RuPaul’s” Season 1 finalist (middle photo) and the gay circuit diva collide in Htown for a night out that you won’t soon forget @ South Beach 9 p.m.

Shake Up Saturday. Montrose was never the same after the party bar to end all party bars hit the scene. With karaoke, the patio or the friendly staff, you never know what you’re gonna get, but you'll love it every time @ Crocker Bar, 9 p.m.

F Experience. You always wanted to do it with DJ Tad Dvorak. With drag. And go-go boys. Join the crowd @ F Bar, 9 p.m.

Shower Boys leave a wet spot on your Saturday with DJ beats to move your feets @ Meteor, 9 p.m.

Ladies & Gents. The lesbians know what’s up for all the gay women and their male friends @ Pearl Bar, 10 p.m.

Country Dance. Before there was Gilley’s, there was the Esquire Ballroom. Now the legendary space is where your gay-ass boots meet the beat @ Neon Boots, 9 p.m.

Leather-Levi Party. Rough and rugged are the men and your fantasies @ Eagle Houston, 12 noon – 2 a.m.

Sound Factory Saturday. One, two, you know what to do @ Guava Lamp, 9 p.m.

Party time. Excellent. Slip into something that will warm your gay heart @ Bayou City Bar & Grill, all day.

DJ beats get you moving on the dance floor @ Blur, 10 p.m.

Drag divas never really end when it’s cheap drinks and Showgurlz @ TC’s Showbar, 11 p.m.

Scruffy Saturday. Cruise on over with DJ beats and hot male dancers @ Mining Company, 9 p.m.

Fruit loop. No weekend is complete without a stop in for a few laps around the loop and a drink or five while eyeing the go-go boys @ JR’s, all day.

 

Sunday, March 22

Juan Carlos Ramirez Fundraiser Show. Aria Crawford hosts this special show to raise funds in the memory of the gay man (bottom photo) killed in the parking lot @ F Bar, 10 p.m. It's the latest in a long line of memorial rallies.

Montrose Softball League Opening Day. The gay (and allied) pitchers and catchers go head-to-head in their weekly spring matchups @ Houston Sports Complex, 9 a.m. Don't miss the Bomb Squad Beer Blast to celebrate afterward @ F Bar, 6 p.m. 

Sunday Lounge. Kick back and do the Sunday do: As little as possible and look good doing it @ Guava Lamp, 10 p.m. Lounge doors for day drinking at 4 p.m.

All-Day Happy Hour. Whether it’s DJ beats, live music, sports on TV, or free food in the house, you don’t always hang out with lesbians, but when you do it’s up Heights [email protected] Pearl Lounge, 12 noon.

Sunday Fun Day. Whether you go for the karaoke, the rowdy patrons or what some call the best Sunday in town, get down @ Crocker Bar, 12:30 p.m.

The Legends do fierce, fabulous fun with Dina Jacobs, Billie Jean, Tasha Kohl, Lawanda Jackson, and Tisch DeWilliams @ Meteor, 9 p.m.

Kickback Sunday. Mosey on over for some afternoon delight. It’s the most C&W Sunday fun you can have with your boots on @ Neon Boots, 12 noon.

Sunday Funday Crawfish parties until you absolutely have to go home and start your workweek. Crawfish and drink specials @ Bayou City Bar & Grill, 12 noon – 9 p.m.

Dangerous Disco. Thumping beats and the Texans on TV. Don’t stop ‘til you get enough @ Eagle Houston, 12 noon – 2 a.m.

Sunday Fun Day Drag Show with Kofi and the girls and all of Houston’s ready-to-party gay boys @ JR’s. All day bar, evening drag.

All Star Sunday. Alexis Nicole Whitney corrals the queens and closes out your weekend with a showstopper that you have to see to believe @ TC’s Showbar, 11 p.m.

Hot Mess Sunday with Deejay Pollo and Ricky Lee and Houston’s hottest Spanish-English video remix set @ Blur, 10:30 p.m.

Men At Work with trash disco by DJ Danny G and drink specials @ Mining Company, all day.
