What’s that sound growing closer like a freight train? It’s gay Atlanta’s weekend hurtling toward you. Don’t get out of the way. Jump right in the path and get swept up in these Friday through Sunday LGBT events.

Friday, June 14
Peach Party Weekend Opener with DJ Twisted Dee is the first of six gay Atlanta events with international gods of the turntables at multiple venues through Sunday. Brought to you by GA Boy and GIRL, think thumping beats and writhing men (top photo), then get your ass up and out. Peach Party gets started @ Heretic, 9 p.m. Get tickets, and get revved up with photos from last year. And here. Oh right; here too.

Indigo Girls & Joan Baez. It doesn’t get more lesbian than this. Atlanta’s hometown heroes join the hippie legend for some vocal acrobatics and harmonies to blow your hair back into Mullet Times (second photo) @ Chastain, 8 p.m. Saturday show, too.

Criminalization & Queer Rebellion: A Multi-Generational Discussion with JustUsATL is part of Atlanta’s Stonewall Month activities @ Little Five Points Community Center, 6:30 p.m.

Fourth Tuesday Happy Hour meets for its monthly wind-down with the women of Fourth Tuesday @ Mixx, 6 p.m.

Dinner & A Movie with Jaye Lish: “Bridesmaids” kicks off Jungle’s Friday with a full menu, drink and meal specials, giveaways, surprises and a fave flick on the big screen in the Jungle Room @ Jungle, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Then it’s The Other Show with Edie Cheezburger and her cast of crazies, 9:30 p.m.

Chi Chi LaRue & Porn Star Landon Conrad welcomes the drag maven, porn guru and DJ (third photo) to spin the tunes with one of her hottest discoveries to get you hot. BanjeeGirl Friday gets your lesbian weekend started right with a DJ-driven dance party and all the ladies you can handle from the TraxxGirls promoters @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.

Got Leche? celebrates the weekend each and every Friday with Atlanta’s weekly gay Latin night @ Club Rush, 10 p.m. – 5 a.m. This week: “Men in Heels.”

Team Friendly Atlanta Throwback Party with DJ Diablo Rojo (fourth photo) awards best costumes in categories from Aspiring adult film star to Prominent porn-stache and Burliest beard, Slyest silver fox to Dancing Queen. Put it to a beat to benefit Team Friendly and get down tonight  @ Cockpit, 10 p.m.

The Fab Five drag revue puts the glamazons on display each week hosted by Angelica D’Paige. Get your dollars ready for some of Atlanta’s premiere queens @ Burkhart’s, 11 p.m.

Panther L/L Bar Night & Clothing Drive brings the local leather-levi group together for camaraderie with an extra good deed collecting gently used clothing for the Alphabet Soup project @ Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m.

Annual LeBuzz Turnabout Show puts the staff on stage and the performers behind the bar. Let the insanity begin and tip generously because it all goes toward Marietta Pride, which this year has selected The Health Initiative as its beneficiary. Bless the mess @ Le Buzz, Marietta, 11 p.m.

 

Saturday, June 15
Peach Pride Outdoor Dance with DJ Tony Moran (fifth photo) continues the six-event, nine-DJ, three-day fun with the legend himself and an opening set by DJ Corey David. Don’t forget your tickets, then look for an Evah Destruction performance, 21+ full bar, VIP extras including AC, and 18+ free entry dockside @ Piedmont Park dock, 4 p.m. Get a disco nap, dancing queens, because tonight’s Jungle and Xion continuation is almost here.

Flag Football League 2013 Championships Round 2 continues the season finale with the gay teams in National Flag Football League of Atlanta battling it out @ Grant Park, 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Brushtrokes “Doublewide” Expansion Party with Chi Chi LaRue celebrates the veteran gay retailer knocking down walls and taking over even more space. Atlanta Pride Run Beer Bust gathers the gay jocks of the this year's upcoming Stonewall Month run for some bottomless brews and fundraising for 2013 beneficiary Lost N Found Youth @ Frogs, 3 p.m.

Big Gay Sing & Big Gay Idol is the Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus contribution to Atlanta Pride’s official list of Stonewall Month events. Gay song standards of yesterday and today with lyrics so you can sing along. Want more than just your own Big Gay Singing? Big Gay Idol competition during the event pits some vocal ringers against each other ffor the title @ Jungle, 6 p.m.

16th Annual East Point Possums Show (sixth photo) is the most fun you’ll have with camp drag queens presented by Atlanta Pride benefiting Lost N Found Youth. Drag, comedy and community not to be missed @ East Point Commons, 7 p.m. It’s going to get crazy (photos). Then it will get crazier (video). Entertainer of the Year Benefit Show for Owen McCord serves an all-star cast to keep the Decked Out Summer parties going with East Atlanta’s lesbian dance, sports, show and cocktail ladies @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.

Shakespeare Follies Tempest A-Go-Go! is the latest smart, sassy, modern, hilarious riff on the Bard from the zany-fun theater peeps led by gay Atlanta’s own Timothy Gray. This time, beach blankets and Hawaiian shirts are encouraged for tiki Tempest treats @ Arts Exchange, 8 p.m.

Southeast Black & Blue Bound in Leather Night @ Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m.

Peach Party Weekend with DJ Paulo. The party continues through Sunday with this keystone Saturday event that includes not just the tribal headliner but DJ Russ Rich and a special Phoenix performance. Sundae Sunday lays down the adult ice cream social featuring complimentary Frozen Pints Craft Beer Ice Cream to beat the heat and cool off all you hotties @ Blake’s, 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Peach Party Sunday Brunch with DJ David Knapp offers the hair of the dog you’re going to need to keep going at the remaining big gay weekend events. Mimosa and brunch bar specials with one of the local dance daddies priming your pump @ Las Margaritas, 12 noon. Eat up, because it’s nearly time for:

Peach Party Peach Tea Dance with DJs Alyson Calagna and Martin Fry. The weekend-long bash goes out in style with beats for your nerves. Fry first, Calagna (bottom photo) shuts it down @ Jungle, 7 p.m. – 12 midnight. While you’re thinking about it, just go get your ticket now.

Flashback Showgirls is the new show that takes you back, all the way back to a new decade each month. Lady Shabazz leads the cast every Sunday starting this week @ 10th & Piedmont, 8 p.m.
