The best gay things to do in Atlanta this weekend

Seasons Greetings from a holly jolly list of made-to-order LGBT Atlanta events. Friday through Sunday, these plays, parties and performances make the season bright and put the gay in your day.

Friday, Dec. 12

Pump pulls all the guys onto gay Atlanta’s hot man-on-man dance floor, this week with DJ Stan Jackson manning the tables and pumping the beats @ Heretic, 10 p.m.

ArtVision. The ninth annual event connects you with original art to benefit Positive Impact. This year’s “Within the Oceans” theme inspires the works for sale just in time for gift-buying for yourself or someone else during this cocktail reception and viewing @ Stone Four Studios at Studioplex, 7 p.m.

Human Rights Shabbat Program. Doug Ammar of the Georgia Justice Project delivers “Criminal Justice in the Crucible of Civil Rights: from Mass Incarceration, to Ferguson to Hope” to the gay-founded, gay led worshipers @ Congregation Bet Haverim, 7 p.m.

“The Santaland Diaries.” The annual stage shuffle through the mind and matters of writer David Sedaris’ gay department store elf. Harold Leaver returns to the lead role for the 16th year @ Horizon Theater, 8 p.m. Runs through Dec. 31.

The Other Show serves the weekly cast and special guests who make up the most unique drag cabaret in town. She’s so unusual @ Jungle, 9:30 p.m.

Leather Santa wants you to sit on his lap, and DJs Brett Long and Nat want you to dance to their beats @ Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m.

Ladies Lounge with Juice Box gets your lesbian weekend started with a DJ-driven dance party, live performances and scores of women @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.

Femme Fatale with JuJuBee for Phoenix's Birthday. The “RuPaul's” alum returns to Atlanta to wish her fellow RPDR queen a happy B-day. The rest of the glamazons follow suit and blow your mind @ Burkhart’s, 11 p.m. Dare you to guess what Phoenix will do.

Daring Divas lays it on thick. Lena Lust, Shawnna Brooks, Lateasha Shuntel, Chavon Scott and Niesha Dupree. The crowd goes wild @ Blake’s, 11 p.m.

Men’s Night lets you in on the show and specials that get all the OTP gays rockin @ LeBuzz, Marietta, 9 p.m.

Chaparral Nights amps up a weekly gay Latin night with stage shows, dancing and more @ Club Rush, 10 p.m. – 5 a.m.


Saturday, Dec. 13

Atlanta Santa Speedo Run (middle photo). Bulging packages and Santa hats combine to run the streets of Midtown nearly naked for a cause. Pre- and post-party, plus 2 p.m. step-off @ Hudson Grille Midtown. Get a load of these bouncing holigay packages.

Lost N Found Volunteer Training welcomes those who want to make a difference in the lives of homeless LGBT teens and young adults @ Lost N Found, 2 p.m. Background check and $10 processing fee required.

East Point Possums Holiday Benefit. The gurlz who do up Stonewall Weekend do it up again for the winter to benefit former Armorette Ginny Tonic. Show includes Shenita Quit, Lori Divine and Suzanne Sugarbaby @ East Point Corner Tavern, 7 p.m.

Toga Party. This third annual event puts you in bedsheets for charity. Kandi Mann hosts this benefit for the Armorettes PWA Fund with a toga contest, raffle, Jell-O Shots and more @ Opus 1, 8 p.m.

Heretic 23rd Anniversary Party & Toy Drive (top photo). Naughty Santa and four DJs – Mike Pope, Stan Jackson, Sean Mac and Robert Ansley – ring in the next era for the Cheshire Bridge bar. Your entry is an unwrapped toy to benefit CHRIS Kids @ Heretic, 10 p.m.

Naughty or Nice Party. The Bellissima party women (and their male friends) converge to party with DJ mixes, treats and cocktails for the holidays @ Henry’s, 9 p.m.

Phoenix’s Birthday with DJ Mike Cruz. A dance party like no other goes down again this week, only this time it’s the House Diva’s birthday, and a visiting stud is in the booth. Look for performances and surprises @ Jungle, 10:30 p.m. Get there early for Ruby’s Redd Light District show, 9 p.m. Here are 15 chameleon queen Phoenix looks.

Gear Night. What's better than a man-to-man sex club after dark? That would be a sex club where your leather, uniform, rubber and jock gear puts you in like-minded company and saves you $5 off the cover charge @ Manifest 4U, 9 p.m. 6 a.m.

Raw Talent Finale. The kings and queens who’ve battled it out for weeks compete to see who wins the Season 7 crown during Atlanta’s best lesbian dance party @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.

Synergy turns up the volume on Saturday night and blows your ever-loving mind with glamazons working for your dollars @ Burkhart's, 11 p.m.

GlitterBomb werqs Saturday night with a drag show hosted by Genre, a cast of premiere queens and special guests. DJ and video beats plus more cute boys than you can handle @ Blake’s, 10 p.m.

Divas Cabaret works some looks with Destiny Brooks on the mic for all the OTP gays @ LeBuzz, Marietta, 9 p.m.
