The best gay things to do in Atlanta this weekend

From community-minded vigils to all-out dance parties and beyond, Atlanta peels back the veil on this weekend’s best LGBT events and unleashes a little something for every gay taste.

Friday, Nov. 11

Lost N Found Youth Vigil (top photo). For the anniversary of the local LGBT homeless youth group, its founder Rick Westbrook camps out like his beneficiaries live. Several ways to participate starting with a candlelight walk from Henry’s, 6 p.m., then 48 hours @ Burkhart’s, 7 p.m.

Boys Room. Come hang out with the cool kids @ Mary’s, 9 p.m.

The Other Show: 4th Anniversary. Come to the unique weekly drag cabaret with an eclectic cast and special guests that always pack a surprise @ Jungle, 9:30 p.m

Pump. When one word is all you need to kick off the weekend with a man-to-man dance party, you betta Pump, this week with DJs Travis & Eric, 10 p.m.

Glitz & Glam Dinner Theater. Charlie Brown, the undisputed Bitch of the South and her gurlz entertain with dinner and a show amid the fancy theater experience of Atlanta’s premiere drag restaurant and bar. Make Reservations @ Lips Atlanta, 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and the Taboo Show at 11:30 p.m.

Deadly Vixens puts the grrls on display for your entertainment and your dollars, plus Second Level beats upstairs @ Blake’s, 9 p.m.

Femme Fatale puts the drag glamazons on display each week. Get your singles ready for premiere Atlanta queens @ Burkhart’s, 11 p.m.

Friday Night Dance Party. Another weekly way to kick off your weekend just hit 10th Street. See what you can get into @ G’s, 10 p.m.

Ladies Lounge. Get your lesbian weekend started with a DJ-driven dance party, live performances and scores of women in the new Midtown home of Atlanta lesbian nightlife @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.

Crush Friday turns up the volume on its weekly gay Latin party with stage shows and dancing into the wee hours @ Club Rush, 10 p.m. – 5 a.m.

Resident DJs Scott and Mikey take you deep into the night with $5 Fridays @ Xion, 3 a.m. – 7 a.m.

Foreplay Afterhours keeps you dancing late. Really late @ Tokyo Valentino, 1 a.m. – 5 a.m.


Saturday, Nov. 12

DJ Brett Henrichsen (middle photo). The circuit legend, MasterBeat mastermind, and sexy gay hunk returns to move the men @ Heretic, 10 p.m. Atlanta loves him.

PALS Manly Miss America. Dudes look like a ladies for Pets Are Loving Support. Full pageant categories and tons fun @ Jungle, 6 p.m. It’s always a blast. Like, for real As in, for really real.

Pups, Pics & Pink Ladies. You and your pooch get snapped for the holidays by gay Atlanta photog Dan Lax, specialty cocktails are on deck, and it all benefits the cause @ Henry's, 1 p.m.

#Daydrunk. Drink specials put you to bed early or make you the life of tonight’s party @ Mary’s, 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. Do it, and you may not remember what you did during regularly scheduled shenanigans, 9 p.m.

Book of Love. The '80s band with new-wave-pop beats everyone will love perform @ Aisle 5, 8 p.m.

Roxy Watson. Atlanta’s five-piece lesbian band does their amazing modern bluegrass @ Eddie’s Attic, 7 p.m. We love them.

FT Maneuvers. It’s a military theme with gay adult promoters and retailers Fort Troff in the gay sex club @ Manifest4U, 9 p.m.

Stoplight Party. Green means go at this men mingling as only they can throw one with DJ Neon the Glowgobear and Fort Troff @ Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m.

Dance Party! Get on up to get on down @ Jungle, 10:30 p.m. Get there early for Fantasy Girls, 9 p.m.

DJ Vivid & Tracy Levine. Dance it up downtown @ WildPitch Music Hall, 10 p.m.

Synergy turns up the volume on Saturday night and blows your ever-loving mind with glamazons working for your dollars @ Burkhart's, 11 p.m.

Glitz & Glam with Charlie Brown. The self-titled Bitch of the South and her girls entertain with dinner and a show in the theater experience of Atlanta’s drag restaurant and bar. Make reservations @ Lips Atlanta, 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and the Taboo Show at 11:30 p.m. 

GlitterBomb werqs Saturday night with a drag show hosted by Edie Cheezburger, a cast of premiere queens and special guests @ Blake’s, 10 p.m.

DJ Lydia Prim brings the tribal beats to keep your weekend fun going that much longer @ Tokyo Valentino, 1 a.m. – 5 a.m.

DJ Stan Jackson All Nighter. Bars close, but this place doesn’t. You never stop shaking your ass @ Xion, 3 a.m. – 7 a.m.


Sunday, Nov. 13

NOH8 Photo Shoot (bottom photo). Adam Bouska returns with his national phenomenon photo project with you in a cheek sticker. Wear white and smile pretty @ W Atlanta Midtown, 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Queer Threads. Pop-up thrift shop from and benefiting the folks at Southern Fried Queer Pride @ Eyedrum Gallery, 88 Forsyth St. downtown, 2 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Drag Brunch presents the Sisters of Sequins with Bubba D. Licious at the wheel while you eat @ Lips, 12:30 p.m. Walk-ins welcome. Or sleep in and do Dinner with the Divas, 6:30 p.m.

Midtown Rouge. First it’s High Energy and DJ Bill Berdeaux, 1 p.m., then the legendary Sunday drag show kicks off with an all-star cast including Raquell Lorde (bottom photo) @ Blake's, 8 p.m.

Sunday Funday wraps your weekend just the way you like it: with all your gays plus DJs Rob Reum and Robert Ansley @ Ten Atlanta, 5 p.m. – midnight.

Armorettes. Atlanta’s camp drag crazies against HIV do their weekly good in the gayborhood @ Burkhart’s, 7:30 p.m.

CherryBomb. Wild Cherry Sucret returns to the weekly stage for “something hip and different,” including surprises each week @ Jungle, 8 p.m.

Tossed Salad. The magic and madness masterminded by Brigitte Bidet and her left-of-center queens @ Burkhart’s, 9:30 p.m.
