Are you tired and listless? Too pooped to pop? The coolest, sunniest weekend in memory promises gay and lesbian Atlanta the cure for what ails you. Welcome to your one-stop for local LGBT events that put the pep back in your step.

Friday, Sept. 13
Ready 4 Hope Weekend Kickoff with DJ Gustavo Scorpio revs your motor for gay Atlanta’s newest fundraising event weekend. Start the three-day party with a purpose (top photo) to benefit AIDS Walk Atlanta. Scroll down for two Saturday parties after the sold-out signature Lake Lanier boat cruise and Sunday’s finale. Friday is DJ Gustavo Scorpio @ Heretic, 10 p.m. Oh those R4H boys. We've been stalking them (photos).

Paparazzi: Virgo Edition (second photo) returns as the monthly reason to strike a pose. Red carpet, hot guests, your best look and DJ Merr1n from the party minds that bring you Bedlam @ 10th & Piedmont, 10 p.m. – 3 a.m. View our photos.

“Perfectly Precarious” exhibits the beauty in art that results from uncertainty and chance. Opening reception for the four artists showing their work in the gay-owned gallery @ Kai Lin Art, 7 p.m. Show runs through Oct. 25.

Hookah: VIP Preview puts you in the know before the big reveal to the public. The latest from gay Atlanta’s OTP getaway is a full service hookah bar. You have to RSVP at the link to attend. Even if you don’t partake, enjoy the new comfy chill spot among the offerings @ LeBuzz, Marietta, 8 p.m.

“Trash” continues its world premiere by Johnny Drago, directed by Topher Payne, starring Dwayne Morgan (third photo) and staged by Process Theatre Company. Gay. Gay. Gay-gay-gay. “’The Glass Menagerie’ meets Anna Nicole in an episode of ‘Hoarders’ on meth” runs Fridays and Saturdays through Sept. 28 @ OnStage Atlanta, 8 p.m. Sundays, 5 p.m.

Dinner & A Movie: “The Craft” kicks off Jungle’s Friday with dragster Jaye Lishe, a different flick each week, and great menu specials in the Jungle Room @ Jungle, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Sit. Stay. It’s time for The Other Show cast of crazies and their guests, 9:30 p.m.

Got Leche? celebrates the weekend each and every Friday with Atlanta’s weekly gay Latin night @ Club Rush, 10 p.m. – 5 a.m.

BanjeeGirl Friday gets your lesbian weekend started with a DJ-driven dance party and all the ladies you can handle with the TraxxGirls promoters @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.

The Fab Five brings down the house with its weekly drag revue of glamazons led by Angelica D’Paige @ Burkhart’s, 11 p.m.

 

Saturday, Sept. 14
Southern Softpaw League Opening Day pitches and catches with the gay league of fall softball. Come for the jocks, stay for … well stay for the jocks too @ Southside Park, noon. Post-Games Beer Bust includes Jello shots and a raffle on top of the bottomless brew @ Frogs, 4 p.m.

LGBT Kennesaw Mountain Hike is hosted by KSU’s Pride Alliance student group. Socialize as you enjoy the view and work those legs @ Kennessaw Mountain, 10 a.m.

Lost N Found Youth Volunteer Orientation welcomes those who want to make a difference in the lives of homeless LGBT teens and young adults @ Rush Center, 2 p.m. Background check and $10 processing fee required.

Ruby’s Redd Light District (fifth photo) sits your ass down for dinner with the fun and foul-mouthed hostess, her diverse cast, guest stars, great food and of course cocktails in the Jungle Room @ Jungle, 9 p.m.

Flower Hour for Pride serves cocktail garden-party realness to benefit Atlanta Pride. Pick and plant, dance, enjoy performances and food @ Garden Hood, 5 p.m.

Brewing for Equality talks it out over coffee with the Love Under Fire campaigners @ Caribou, 8 p.m.

Early Country & Late Night Dance offers line dancing and two stepping after the sun goes down, then DJ Mike Pope picks up the pace until close @ Heretic, 8 p.m. and 12 midnight.

Bear Bash with DJ Barry Huffine (sixth photo) is just as juicy as it sounds. Southern Bears group co-hosts this latest Bear Bash including a buzz-cut clipper party for Lost N Found Youth as South Florida’s favorite DJ beats your feets @ Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m.

Gurlfrandz: Hollywood Babylon mixes the unique bawdy drag of Ella Saurus Rex and her crew with old-time screen sirens and new cinema sleaze. Dress as your favorite Hollywood Harlot for a chance to win a prize. It’s always an adventure @ Mary’s, 9 p.m.

Get Lucky Show celebrates with the Lee Family & Friends on stage and you ladies getting busy on the floor @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.

Miss Atlanta Grand Diva. The faces are painted and the tucks are flawless. Now all they need is you to determine who walks away with the title and the crown @ LeBuzz, Marietta, 8 p.m.

Ready 4 Hope: DJ Rodolfo Bravat with Carioca. R4H Weekend continues partying for AIDS Walk after the sold-out signature Lanier boat cruise. The San Paulo stud (seventh photo) helms the turntables while you dance your butt off @ Jungle, 10 p.m.

Extravaganza Show is the weekly fabulosity with blonde and beautiful Shavonna B. Brooks and cast @ Burkhart’s, 11 p.m.

Ready 4 Hope Afterparty with DJ Chad Jack. Yet another traveling mix master visits Atlanta to continue the Ready for Hope weekend well into Sunday. Don’t stop ‘til you get enough @ Xion, 3 a.m. – 7 a.m.

 

Sunday, Sept. 15
Cowboy Envy eases you into the week with a show of their standby smooth grooves @ Eddie’s Attic, 5 p.m.

Ready 4 Hope: Harness Closing with DJs Travis & Eric puts Sunday Tea to a beat to finish you off and wrap the first R4H weekend benefiting AIDS Walk. Party with a purpose @ Jungle, 6 p.m.

All New Armorettes: Glamp! The camp drag troupe re-envisions its weekly fundraising show adding the beauties of Burkhart’s to the mix. New showtime, revitalized cast, same insanity (bottom photo) @ Burkhart’s, 9 p.m.

Flashback Showgirls is the drag show that takes you back, all the way back to a new decade each week. Lady Shabazz leads the cast @ 10th & Piedmont, 8 p.m.
