If two big gay Madonna birthday bashes and an all-weekend festival don’t strike your fancy, come sit by us. We’ve got details on those events and much more in the Gay Agenda calendar of LGBT events.

Friday, Aug. 15

Madonna Rama. The annual party that justifies your love. Just like a prayer, everything Madonna is new again (top photos) as the diva turns 56 and gay Atlanta turns it out. DJ Diablo Rojo pumps the magic. Get into the groove @ Mary’s, 9 p.m.

High Heels-High Times Femme Variety Show puts Atlanta lesbians onstage to support the mission of Charis Circle, Atlanta’s lesbian feminist do-gooders. All-Femme kissing booth and delicious baked sweets too @ Charis Books & More, 7:30 p.m.

Warfare: Fort Troff Night with DJ Pornstar. Hold on tight because it’s about to get really hot. Instigator Magazine and Fort Troff join forces with the Eagle for demos and a Fort Troff market. Your $1 donation goes to the MISTER Center and Leather Library @ Atlanta Eagle, 8 p.m. DJ Pornstar-Dominic Pacifico makes you hot.

The Other Show serves up the most unique drag cabaret in town with its singularly creative cast and special guests who always blast your expectations, this week with Taejah L. Thomas @ Jungle, 9:30 p.m.

Ladies Lounge: Show Stoppers Strip Show Edition gets your lesbian weekend started with a DJ-driven dance party, live performances and scores of women @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.

Pump with DJ Mike Pope pulls all the guys onto gay Atlanta’s hot man-on-man dance floor @ Heretic, 10 p.m.

Midnight Cabaret with Tiffany Diamn DeVille. Get in on the show that gives it up to all the OTP gays @ LeBuzz, Marietta, 12 midnight. Before that, LeBuzz Men’s Night is rockin.

Femme Fatale puts the drag glamazons on display each week. Get your singles ready for premiere Atlanta queens @ Burkhart’s, 11 p.m.

Daring Divas lays it on thick. Lena Lust, Shawnna Brooks, Lateasha Shuntel, Chavon Scott and Niesha Dupree. The crowd goes wild @ Blake’s, 11 p.m.

Got Leche? amps up the weekly gay Latin night featuring stage shows, dancing and more @ Club Rush, 10 p.m. – 5 a.m.,


Saturday, Aug. 16

Piedmont Park Arts Festival (middle photo) continues the year-round tradition of hitting the park for arts, music and fun all over town with the gay-founded Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces. This time, do it up @ Piedmont Park, all day and Sunday too. It’s a blast. Like, this much.

Hotlanta Softball End of Season Party puts the final spin on gay softball’s summer even as the fall gets underway. Send teams to the Gay Softball World Series with beer, boys and beats @ Heretic, 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Madonna “Truth or Dare” Birthday Bash puts the movie on the big screen on the icon's actual birthday. Free bottle of Evian, Madonna costume contest, drag hosts and more @ Plaza Theatre, 7 p.m.

Armorettes Auditions, Round 1 present the first of two nights finding the next zany members of the camp drag crazies with big hearts. Watch the madness unfold @ Heretic, 8 p.m. And make plans for Burkhart’s on Sunday.

Best of Atlanta Comedy. Come see nine of Atlanta’s best comics serving their best 10 minutes each. Local Gay Comedian Andrew Markle is in the mix @ Hard Rock Cafe, 8 p.m.

MSR Anniversary White Party. Wear white to celebrate 18 years as Atlanta’s go-to lesbian hot spot. Drag kings, go-go girls and surprises galore @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.

Underbear. Just like it sounds, this party encourages your pursuit of the hirsuit while wearing skivvies and jocks. DJ Sean Mac to the beat @ Atlanta Eagle, 10 p.m.

DJ Chad Jack returns to the scene of his last local dance floor massacre with new beats for your feets. Shake it don’t break it @ Heretic, 10 p.m.

Bollywood & Birdcage lays out a special edition of Ruby’s Redd Light District celebrating both the baubles of Bollywood and the bawdiness of Birdcage. Stick around after for DJ Karlito on $5 guest appreciation night @ Jungle. Show, 9 p.m. DJ, 10:30 p.m.

Synergy  is the Saturday night show to rock your world @ Burkhart's, 11 p.m.

Sinful Saturday includes the Divas Cabaret and all kinds of other bar night fun for our suburban gays outside the perimeter @ LeBuzz, Marietta, 10 p.m.

DJ Martin Fry All Nighter moves your booty all the way to sunrise, just steps away from BJs, Heretic and Jungle. Never stop shaking your ass @ Xion, 3 a.m. – 7 a.m.


Sunday, Aug. 17

Honey Badgers World Series Beer Bust. Join this Hotlanta Softball team as they tip beers to raise funds. Get them to the Gay Softball World Series with menu specials and kick-ass raffles @ Diesel, 3 p.m.

Sunday Funday. It's two parties in one with DJ Rob Reum inside and DJ Roberty Ansley outside. All kinds of fun as you go back and forth @ Ten Atlanta, 4 p.m. – midnight. They really bring it.

Atlanta Freedom Bands hosts the first of three Summertime Funtime Concert Band Reading Sessions.” This is your “in” to keep up your skills, gay band geeks! Musicians at all levels welcome to come check out the band and read some fun and interesting music @ Saint Paul United Methodist Church, 6 p.m. 

Babes for Boobs puts food and drinks on Atlanta’s lesbian Sunday table to raise funds for the Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer. Women come together for DJ beats, raffles and much more @ Hobnob, 6 p.m.

High Energy & Cell Block Sunday. Get to gettin' with DJ Bill Berdeaux, 3 p.m., then the Cell Block drag show with Lateasha Shuntel, Raquell Lord, Shawnna Brooks, Nicole Paige Brooks and Taejah Thomas @ Blake's, 8 p.m.
