Friday, Aug. 9
Southeast Black & Blue Weekend (top photo) opens a full three-day schedule for the gay BDSM crowd and the race toward titles as SE LeatherSir, SE Leatherboy, SE Community Boot Black, and SE Mr. Rubber @ Atlanta Eagle, tonight 10 p.m. – 2 a.m. Special Friday night Meet & Greet & Bootblacking Demos. Check out hot sticky photos from last year.

Fourth Tuesday Happy Hour is a second Friday get-together. What? Fourth Tuesday is the venerable Atlanta lesbian group, and their monthly happy hour gathers for drinks, chair massages and socializing @ Mixx, 6 p.m.

Second Annual Rainbow Jam with JustUs ATL welcomes back a slew of LGBT youth talents from dancers and comedians to musicians, poets, actors and more. Food and alcohol with all proceeds including door donations to the cause @ Arts Exchange, 6:30 p.m. – 9 p.m.

BanjeeGirl Friday: Foam Party (third photo) gets your lesbian weekend started with a DJ-driven dance party and all the ladies you can handle with the TraxxGirls promoters, this week with foamy goodness to get yourself all lathered up @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.

Rainbow Days at Six Flags Pre-party psyches you up about going to the amusement park on Saturday. Drinks and socializing @ Blake’s, 9 p.m.

Dinner & A Movie: “The Goonies” kicks off Jungle’s Friday with Jaye Lishe and some great food and drink specials in the Jungle Room @ Jungle, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Sit tight. It’s time for The Other Show with Edie Cheezburger and her cast of crazies and special guests, 9:30 p.m.

DJ Corey David (fourth photo) drops some private edits and mash-ups along with summer’s hottest house and vocals for the weekly man-on-man dance party @ Heretic, 10 p.m.

The Fab Five brings down the house with its weekly drag revue of glamazons led by Angelica D’Paige @ Burkhart’s, 11 p.m.

Got Leche? celebrates the weekend each and every Friday with Atlanta’s weekly gay Latin night @ Club Rush, 10 p.m. – 5 a.m. Right now, the fun includes this week’s round of Panochas Drag Race.

 

Saturday, Aug. 10
Rainbow Days at Six Flags (fifth photo) brings you back to the park for a gay takeover of the amusements, food, entertainers and more @ Six Flags Over Georgia, all day. Even if you can’t make it, the Rainbow Days Afterparty with Tyra Sanchez includes the “RuPaul” Season 2 winner, a performance by Evafe, beats by DJ Shane V, and the “Industry” track release from Terry Sartor and Joe Gauthreaux @ 10th & Piedmont, 10 p.m. Click through last year’s amazing Rainbow Days photos.

Fall Rugby 101 with Atlanta Bucks invites you back to the pitch with the local gay rugby team to brush up on your skills before the season of games is upon us @ Walker Park, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. The “Third Half” Social begins immediately afterward @ Flatiron Bar.

Southeast Black & Blue Weekend (sixth photo) continues the gay BDSM fest toward SE LeatherSir, SE Leatherboy, SE Community Boot Black, and SE Mr. Rubber @ Atlanta Eagle, 1 p.m. – 3 a.m. The evening includes BBQ beer bust, 5 p.m. and the SEBB Pig Dance @ Eagle, 10 p.m. Check out hot doms and sexy subs from 2012.

Hotlanta Softball Season Closing Party celebrates all of the teams in Atlanta’s gay softball league. Awards in multiple categories, barbecue dinner, the HSL Hall of Fame, Gay Softball World Series honors, door prizes, a DJ and more @ Heretic, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. It's followed by Early Country Late Night Dance with linedancing then DJ Mike Pope.

Ruby’s Redd Light District puts the foul-mouthed hostess, great food, cocktails and a diverse cast together in the Jungle Room @ Jungle, 9 p.m.

Maria Gabriella Band (seventh photo) headlines the Absolut Rainbow Party, which welcomes back the lesbian rocker along with supercharged drink specials to lull the ladies into each other’s arms. DJ beats and the usual mayhem as well @ My Sister’s Room, 9 p.m.

Hannah Thomas Band draws lesbians like a magnet all the way to Dahlonega to get their girls-with-guitars fix. Hannah Aldridge and Marge Loveday join the lineup @ Red Clay Theatre, Dahlonega, 8 p.m.

DJ Alexander brings the boys to the yard. His signature beats drive Atlanta’s best gay dance club, brought to you this week by the Carioca partiers @ Jungle, 10 p.m.

Extravaganza Show is the weekly fabulosity with blonde and beautiful Shavonna B. Brooks and cast @ Burkhart’s, 11 p.m.

Can't get enough? Just keep your dancing feet moving all the way over to the DJ Serving Ovahness All-Nighter @ Xion, 3 a.m. – 7 a.m.

 

Sunday, Aug. 11
Southeast Black & Blue Dutch Treat Brunch wraps the BDSM weekend with food, spirits, comaraderie and a warm goodbye to visiting friends @ Roxx, 11:30 a.m.

DJ Vicki Powell’s Sunday Service (ninth photo) returns with the local fave rocking the hip gay-owned bar, patio and upstairs lounge @ Sister Louisa’s Church of the Living Room & Ping-Pong Emporium, 7 p.m.

Atlanta Transgender Clothing Mart combines the efforts of Panther L/L and Alphabet Soup Atlanta to provide clothing in all sizes and presentations for sale @ Atlanta Eagle, 2 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Harness with DJ Chris Griswold lays down a “No Shirt, No Cover” party to shake up your Sunday. Strap up in leather because it’s that kind of a night, this week with Griswold, in the new bckspce @ Jungle, 6 p.m. – midnight.

The Armorettes’ Amber Divine Benefit helps raise money for costly medical needs of one of the camp drag troupe’s own. Divine (bottom photo) has donated tips to HIV/AIDS for more than 25 years, and it’s time to give back. Knomie Moore and Wild Cherry Sucret host an amped up cast @ Burkhart’s, 6 p.m.

Flashback Showgirls is the drag show that takes you back, all the way back to a new decade each time. Lady Shabazz leads the cast @ 10th & Piedmont, 8 p.m.
